The Centre Leader leads in forming strategic plans and structures. These foster care, trust, mentoring, constant learning and collaborating on all aspects of teaching. As a mentor, he/she inspires learning and curriculum. He/She guides them in carrying out holistic curriculum. He/She creates frameworks for partnerships with people involved with the Centre. He/She is tasked to run Centre operations. He/She must abide by industry rules. He/She leads in setting up and upholding the centre’s mission, vision and values. He/She must also oversee the well-being of staff.
~ Develop staff via proper human resource management.
~ Develop team leaders via capability development and coaching.
~ Drive centre’s initiatives, processes and look into business plans.
~ Drive the design and review of teaching and learning methods.
~ Encourage staff participation in teams.
~ Guide staff to enhance caring and trusting relationships with children.
~ Lead in adding the core values of early childhood education within courses of study at the centre.
~ Lead in making plans to partner with the families and community.
~ Lead team leaders to create business and management plans.
~ Lead workplace interaction and review processes.
~ Manage planning of resources.
~ Promote an interest in learning by designing suitable courses of study at the centre.
~ Set up a culture of constant learning.
~ Set up a culture of professionalism.
~ Set up health, safety and hygiene standards.
~ Set up processes to look into the safety of children.
~ Set up processes to support a culture of mentoring.
~ Solve problems and make decisions at a managerial level.
~ Uphold the vision, mission and values of the centre.
~ Work with the Lead Teacher to set up proper learning environments.
