Position Overview:
We are looking for a seasoned Senior Information Technology Analyst to join our technology team in the fast-paced and high-stakes trading sector. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, enhancement, and optimization of our trading systems, infrastructure, and network security. Your expertise will directly impact our ability to trade effectively and securely in a highly volatile and competitive environment.
This is a demanding role that requires an individual who thrives under pressure, works with urgency, and can handle mission-critical responsibilities, often with little room for error. You will be expected to work on complex technical issues related to low-latency trading systems, risk management software, data analytics, and cybersecurity in a 24/7 operational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Trading Systems Support & Optimization: Maintain and optimize low-latency trading platforms and ensure they perform at the highest levels of efficiency and reliability under market stress.
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee network infrastructure, servers, and storage solutions that support high-frequency trading (HFT) and algorithmic trading systems.
- Security & Compliance: Manage and enforce strict security protocols to protect sensitive trading data, including risk management and regulatory compliance.
- Incident Management: Quickly troubleshoot, resolve, and document incidents impacting trading systems, with a focus on minimizing downtime and optimizing recovery times.
- Continuous Monitoring: Implement real-time monitoring tools and automated alerting systems to detect system anomalies, security breaches, or any potential failures before they impact trading operations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with traders, quantitative analysts, and other IT teams to ensure technology solutions align with business objectives and trading strategies.
- Project Leadership: Lead key projects related to infrastructure upgrades,security improvements, or the integration of new trading technologies.
- Performance Tuning: Fine-tune trading applications, databases, and network components to achieve ultra-low latency and maximum throughput.
- System Management & Optimization:
- Oversee and maintain the company’s IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and network systems.
- Ensure that all IT systems are up-to-date and compliant with international trade regulations.
- Monitor the performance of software systems used for tracking imports and exports and troubleshoot any issues.
- Data Management & Security:
- Manage the import/export data, ensuring it is accurate and properly stored in the company’s databases.
- Safeguard sensitive trade data, such as customs information, product specifications, and shipping details, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
- Implement security protocols to protect company data and information from cyber threats.
- Software Implementation & Support:
- Support the integration of IT systems that help streamline the import/export process, such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems,transportation management systems (TMS), and customs management software.
- Work with external software vendors to ensure seamless operations, including training staff on software usage.
- Automation of Business Processes:
- Identify areas within the supply chain where automation can be introduced to reduce time, errors, and manual work, such as automating order processing, shipment tracking, and invoicing.
- Design and implement custom IT solutions to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Collaboration with Stakeholders:
- Collaborate with the logistics, shipping, and customs departments to understand their IT needs and provide solutions.
- Work with external stakeholders like suppliers, customs authorities, and freight forwarders to ensure smooth data exchange and compliance with international regulations.
- Reporting & Analysis:
- Generate and maintain reports on import/export operations, helping senior management analyze performance, trends, and issues.
- Use data analytics to forecast demand, optimize routes, and improve supply chain management.
- Compliance & Regulatory Support:
- Stay updated on IT-related regulations in the import/export industry, such as compliance with customs laws, international trade regulations, and data privacy laws.
o Ensure that the company's IT systems support compliance with various global standards for international trade.
- Problem Solving & Troubleshooting:
- Troubleshoot IT issues related to logistics systems, shipment tracking, customs paperwork, and other import/export functions.
- Provide timely solutions to minimize downtime or delays in operations.
- Training & Support:
- Provide training to staff on new IT tools and systems to ensure efficient use and understanding.
- Offer ongoing technical support to employees regarding the use of trade and logistics software or any related IT systems.
- Project Management:
- Manage IT projects related to upgrading systems or implementing new technologies that improve the import/export process.
- Ensure that IT projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the needs of the business.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 3+ years of IT experience with at least 1 years in a senior or leadership role within the trading sector or related industries.
- Able to Drive a Car and Meet with Clients Indepentently
- Valid Driving License is Preferable
