Job Responsibilities:

Infant and Toddler Educarers are responsible for the health, safety, hygiene and wellbeing of infants and toddlers in their care.

EY2 Infant and Toddler Educarers can expect to be placed in either an infant care role or a childcare role, depending on suitability, preference, and centre requirements. Duties and responsibilities of Infant Educarers include the following:

Infant Care or Childcare Role:

Maintain constant observation and supervision of all infants and toddlers throughout operating hours.
Evaluate child’s development and progress.
Routine activity includes changing of diapers, feeding, bathing, washing, napping, and any other activities as required and in accordance with ECDA guidelines.
Document all monitored activities for each child and maintain such records.
Plan and conduct engaging activities for the children, encouraging exploration and creativity.
Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the interests and learning styles of children.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with children and parents.

Manage classroom activities including conducting lessons, play, scheduling breaks and providing meals.
Integrate competencies, goals, and objectives into lesson plans.
Work closely with the Principal and other colleagues to meet centre's operation needs.
Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards.
Supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times.

Requirements:

Received ECDA LON for EY2 or possess Certificate in Infant/Toddler Care and Development (CIT), Higher Certificate in Infant Care (HCIC) or Advanced Certificate in Early Years (ACEY).

Responsibilities

• To plan and deliver developmental-appropriate programme to infants
• To create and set up a conducive environment, including the preparation of age-appropriate teaching-aids

Role requirements:

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education
• Certified by ECDA at L2 category
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Job Responsibilities:

Provide leadership to teachers in quality early childhood curriculum design, development and implementation of teaching;

Coach and support teachers to monitor, assess, document and maintain evaluation and assessment of children’s learning and development;

Develop strategies to market and maintain the centre's enrolment to maximise the school capacity;

Manage cost control in all aspects of school operations;

Select, coach and mentor teachers to maximise their professional relationship with parents, harmonious working relations with colleagues and teaching performance for the growth of students under their care;

Maintain students’ records and teacher to student ratio as required by the Ministry and where necessary stand in as class teacher to maintain such ratio;

Maintain the physical condition and maximise the facilities to provide learning environment of students;

Establish and maintain positive and effective communication with parents and the school community;

Organise school events to support cultural, festive events, racial harmony and green environment

Job Requirements:

A recognised Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education from an approved institution and Diploma in Early Childhood Care & Education (Leadership) or its equivalent;

At least 5 years working experience in a pre-school with at least 2 years in a leadership role

High EQ, matured, exemplary leadership and management skills are essential;

Exceptional interpersonal skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
