Job Description

AutoCAD Drafter Responsibilities:

• Use AutoCAD software to prepare detailed construction drawings, blueprints, and schematics for various building and infrastructure projects.
• Work with engineers, architects, and project managers to understand project requirements and produce accurate technical drawings.
• Create and modify 2D and 3D models to represent the project's design and layout.
• Ensure that all AutoCAD drawings comply with relevant building codes, standards, and client specifications.
• Review and revise drawings as needed to meet design changes or client feedback.
• Maintain an organized library of AutoCAD files and project documentation.
• Prepare and present drawings and models to clients and project teams for review and approval.

Quantity Surveyor Responsibilities:

• Perform quantity take-offs for construction materials and labor based on technical drawings and project specifications.
• Prepare bills of quantities (BOQs) and ensure that they accurately reflect the materials and work required for the project.
• Assist in preparing cost estimates, budget plans, and procurement schedules for construction projects.
• Monitor project costs throughout the construction phase to ensure compliance with the budget and report on cost variances.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotations for materials and services.
• Assist in tendering processes, preparing bid documents, and evaluating contractor submissions.
• Manage project procurement and ensure timely delivery of materials to avoid delays in the construction schedule.
• Conduct site visits to verify quantities, assess project progress, and measure completed works for interim valuations.
• Prepare and submit periodic financial reports on project expenditure, including forecasts for completion costs.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD software, including 2D and 3D drafting.
• Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and cost estimation.
• Minimum 5 years experience in construction field.
• Familiarity with construction management software and tools
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to interpret and work with technical drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for cost management and reporting.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with clients, contractors, and project teams.
