HR Business Partnering (Assistant Director)
The Assistant Director will lead a team of HR business partners, working closely with senior leadership to align strategic and tactical HR initiatives with organizational goals. The role will focus on providing people-focused insights for new initiatives and practical HR solutions for day-to-day operations while supporting long-term objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the efficient and professional delivery of HR plans, programs, and services in collaboration with Centres of Excellence and Shared Services.
- Build strong, trusted relationships with stakeholders, offering tailored HR solutions to meet business needs.
- Advise on HR policies, employment legislation, performance management, recruitment, and reward strategies.
- Drive employee engagement, enhance workplace morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Strengthen the talent pipeline, supporting performance and talent reviews and engagement surveys.
- Collaborate with business units to understand recruitment needs and plan long-term resource strategies.
- Offer guidance on industrial relations, employee grievances, and conduct matters.
- Lead and participate in HR projects, events, and committees as needed.
- Coach and support leaders in team development, decision-making, and leadership practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
- At least 12 years of HR experience, with 5 years in leadership roles.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze issues and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent influencing, collaboration, and communication skills.
