Responsibilities:-
1. Lead the Store Department in executing store’s activities and day to day operation under the manager’s instruction.
2. Take appropriate actions with suppliers for discrepancy in deliveries (viz return of the excess quantity, replacement to make up the shortage or for damaged quantity).
3. In the event of an item being rejected by the requisitioner upon receipt, he shall indicate that item in the D.O. and state the reasons for rejection.
4. Check, maintain an update all incoming and outgoing stock records via stock system.
5. Issue of materials to workshop / production as per work schedule via stock system.
6. Advise purchasing staff on replenishment of material when the re-order level is reached.
7. Unpack, mark and stack goods in-order for work-in-progress and for stock.
8. Liaise with production personnel and prepare material requisition form charged under factory expense.
9. Work closely with production personnel on excess materials returned to stores.
10. Supervise and train all staff in the Store Department; Assign tasks to team on day to day basis.
11. Plan and conduct quarterly and yearly stocktake.
12. Check and replenishment of inventory stock under store’s control.
13. Raise Material Requisition Form for purchase of stocks.
14. Report work performance of Store Department to the Management.
15. Promptly submit inventory record, stock reports and other documents to Accounts Department.
16. Promptly submit monthly inventory and stock reports (including excess/returned/reused materials, etc), KPI, Stores improvement plan to the Management.
17. Conduct annual performance appraisal of storekeepers.
18. Lead and drive work improvement and TPS activities in Store Department.
19. Schedule and carry out appropriate maintenance work of forklift.
20. Arrange material storage to optimise warehouse space.
21. Plan and arrange daily delivery of parts to the customers including subsidiaries’ customers.
22. Take on added tasks / responsibilities as assigned by the Management.
23. Follow the procedures of the Quality Management System for effective implementation and control.
