• Assess project estimations and budgets, inspect existing structures, create design plans, and review potential safety issues
• Responsible for negotiating the contracts of subcontractors, communicating with inspectors and architects, meeting with construction managers, and coordinating the delivery of materials with vendors.
• Generate reports focusing on project progress, job status, and costs. Attend weekly or biweekly meetings to present progress information to superiors.
• Collaborating with engineers, architects, designers, and subcontractors to determine the specifications of the project
• Obtaining permits and licenses from appropriate authorities
• Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations
• Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met
• Acquire equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies
• Supervise the work of laborers, mechanics etc. and give them guidance when needed
• Manage/monitor all construction works performed and ensure a clear communication line with client, outlining any challenges and providing progress updates.
• Review all contracts to ensure compliance is maintained, project completion within budget, quality & safety requirements
• Manage all OHS compliance, reporting immediately any accidents/Incidents and ensure all OHS guidelines and procedures are adhered to always.
• Develop and maintain document control system, ensure timely updated of drawings, corresponding.
• Follow up and monitor subcon agreement, pricing, prepare V.O claim, progress claim, claims status & summary
• Preparation of payment response, certifications, breakdown, payment summary, and other supporting documents
• Conduct regular planned meetings updating project staff and providing reports for Senior Management.
• Ensure work is done in compliance with all relevant building and safety codes.

Requirement:

MUST have Road works experience in LTA projects, minimum 5 years’ experience

Completion the project from Pre-Construction phase, post-construction phase till Project handover and closeout

This is a permanent role with a large multinational main contractor.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct, manage and solve technical issues escalated from sites related with instrumentation and monitoring
• Manage site to maintain project timely executed, liaise with LTA, QPS team & design team for project design and requirement matters.
• Monitoring work progress & generate geotechnical instrumentation reports.
• Attend technical meetings with Clients, Contractors, and Consultants.
• Site evaluation of soil, rock, fault distribution and geological studies on site to determine their engineering properties
• Conduct interpretation of actual soil conditions and test results and oversee all excavation works (Cut-and-Cover Tunnel, Slope, Shaft, Pipe Jacking etc.)

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of engineering geology experience with Degree in Geology or Engineering Geology.
• Have experiences for roles of geologist / instrumentation-monitoring engineer for deep excavation projects of similar scale and client, nature and complexity, with experience of similar weathered granite deposits and ability to work under confined condition (under tunnel roof slab)
• Well versed in Civil Projects
