Job Overview:
The Project Engineer is responsible for assisting the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing construction projects. This role ensures that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the specified quality standards. The Project Engineer will liaise with clients, subcontractors, and site staff to ensure smooth project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Prepare, review, and distribute project documentation including drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project requirements are met.
- Monitor project progress and report any issues or delays to the Project Manager.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Conduct site inspections and provide technical support during construction.
- Manage procurement and delivery schedules for materials and equipment.
- Support cost estimation and budget management activities.
- Resolve technical issues and troubleshoot project challenges.
- Maintain project records and prepare regular progress reports.
- Communicate with stakeholders to provide updates and gather feedback.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction project management or engineering.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with large-scale commercial or infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge Msoffice Computer Knowledge.
