Job Responsibilities

As General Insurance specialist within the telesales team, you will be fully involved in introducing various insurance plans to meet the financial protection needs of UOB’s existing customers. Specific responsibilities include:

• To actively make outbound calls to present General Insurance products (Hospital/Accident/Critical Illness) to UOB customers
• To pro-actively highlight the unique selling features of every insurance plan
• Understand customer’s concern and address their needs through active listening
• Handle customer’s objection professionally and to conduct sales call in a persuasive and engaging manner with customers to ensure closure
• Strong ability and confidence to cross-sell (e.g. a 2nd insurance plan)
• Consistently meet and exceed sales targets set by management monthly
• Apply diligence and integrity in the selling process to ensure sales calls conducted in accordance to the bank’s quality assurance standards

Job Requirements:

• Highly persuasive and comfortable with handling customer’s objections
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment to consistently meet or exceed sales targets
• Strong ability to transit from selling one product to another with ease
• Willing to learn and apply new techniques to improve skillsets
• Preferably certified with BCP and PGI
• Fresh graduates without experience are welcome to apply (training provided)

As Vice President, you will be the function data steward of the General Ledger, which encompass the maintenance on the Chart of Accounts for the Group and the daily operations of the GL team. You will also be collaborating with the other divisions/departments across the Bank to drive initiatives to uplift efficiency. Job Responsibilities Oversight on daily General Ledger Operations, in the areas of GL controls, monitoring and reconciliations Maintenance of COA and provide advice from a General Ledger & Control perspective with regards to new products roll-out and new system implementation Perform monitoring and checks to identify and escalate any risk and control issues, to ensure they are adequately addressed and resolved promptly Support external/internal audit requests and update internal documentations/SOPs Guide and supervise team members to ensure tasks/processes are executed in accordance to the documented guidelines and control principles Support ad-hoc projects and initiatives (e.g. RPA) to improve operational productivity Able to perform data analysis on the General Ledger Understand end to end processes and constantly challenge status quo for continuous improvements Job Requirements A recognized university degree in Finance/Business or its equivalent.
