Verian is looking for a candidate to join our Policy Development & Evaluation team for an internship.
The successful candidate will need to be excited about working on high-profile and complex policy development, evaluation and development projects, be able to handle multiple demands and work to tight deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting in assessing all opportunities and crafting proposals
- Conducting regional market research and sensing, desk scanning and supporting in ideation for business strategy
- Supporting in end-to-end project delivery for policy consulting projects such as designing, organising and conducting mixed methods research, crafting reports and presentations etc
- Proactively manage proposals and projects’ timelines and deliverables
- Liaising with stakeholders such as clients, beneficiaries, service providers etc, and managing day-to-day interaction
- Assisting in any relevant research and analysis work as assigned
Capabilities:
- Preferably Masters in political science, international development, social and behaviour change, or other related disciplines
- Active knowledge of regional multilateral organization and international development institutions
- Passionate about Behaviour change, Policy development and evaluation within the social and government space
- Preferably with prior experience in or exposure to regional research methodologies encompassing both qualitative and quantitative approaches
- Have a growth mindset to help drive business activities
- Have an existing network of or exposure to client relationships with key regional multilateral organisations will be an added advantage
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely
- A real team player – interested in working with and learning from others to do great things and relish the opportunity to contribute to a growing, inter-disciplinary team
- Current students or fresh graduates are welcome
- Preferably able to start immediately – part-time (2-3 days a week) or full-time, for at least 3 months
