Overview
As Marketing Project Manager at Vista Musical Instruments, you will adopt a Product Owner approach to manage and deliver marketing initiatives. This role requires a blend of strategic planning, stakeholder liaison, and hands-on management of project workflows using tools like JIRA. You will be responsible for translating marketing needs from various internal and external teams into actionable tasks and epics, and ensuring their successful execution by the marketing team, for Swee Lee/Dawsons, the leading retailer and distributor of musical instruments in Asia and the UK. At the same time, you'll also be involved in marketing campaigns for other important brands under Vista Musical Instruments, not limited to Heritage and Harmony Guitars, MONO and Teisco.
Responsibilities
- Function as the point of contact for marketing project requests from various internal and external teams.
- Define, create, and manage tasks and epics in JIRA, effectively translating marketing needs into actionable plans.
- Liaise with stakeholders to clarify requirements, set expectations, and communicate project progress.
- Work closely with the marketing team to prioritize tasks, manage backlogs, and oversee the execution of marketing projects.
- Ensure that marketing projects align with Vista Musical Intruments’s overall strategy and brand guidelines.
- Regularly review and report on project statuses, adjusting strategies and plans as necessary to meet objectives.
- Facilitate collaboration and communication across teams to ensure smooth and efficient project delivery.
- Liaise and manage external marketing agencies, ensure effective communications and set KPIs are met.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in marketing project management, with a strong understanding of Product Owner methodologies.
- Proficiency in JIRA or similar project management tools.
- Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a results-driven mindset.
- Passionate about the music industry with a keen understanding of marketing trends and practices.
