Job Summary:
We are seeking a Project Manager with expertise in solar renewables and electrical engineering to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will lead end-to-end project execution, ensuring on-time delivery, budget compliance, and adherence to quality and safety standards. Fluency in English and Vietnamese is essential due to the frequent interaction with stakeholders in Vietnam.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead and manage a team of engineers to execute projects per schedules, budgets, and established quality standards.
- Provide technical expertise and mentorship to the project team.
Planning & Coordination:
- Oversee the preparation and submission of drawings and project documentation to relevant authorities.
- Organize and lead project meetings (kick-off, progress, and closure) with clients and stakeholders.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and barriers in collaboration
Resource Management:
- Allocate resources efficiently, ensuring the timely procurement and delivery of materials.
- Monitor and manage project budgets, implementing corrective actions when necessary.
Quality & Safety Compliance:
- Enforce workplace quality and safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct internal quality control, testing, and commissioning to maintain high standards.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Manage all project-related documentation, such as certifications, reports, and records.
- Deliver comprehensive project updates and final reports
Technical Oversight & Execution:
- Evaluate and refine electrical blueprints for solar PV installations.
- Ensure DC and AC system components comply with design standards, codes, and regulations.
- Supervise system testing and commissioning, ensuring alignment with project specifications.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance design accuracy and functionality.
Problem Solving & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Resolve challenges during project execution and propose effective solutions.
- Build and maintain strong communication channels with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and team members.
Job Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Renewable Energy, or related fields).
Experience:
- At least 5 years of experience managing projects in solar PV, power utilities, or engineering sectors.
- Proven expertise in project execution from tender to handover.
- Knowledge of solar PV technology, including design and installation.
Skills & Attributes:
- Hands-on experience with AutoCAD, PVSyst, and Helioscope.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Words and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Fluent in both English and Vietnamese (essential).
- Advanced interpersonal and leadership skills to engage effectively with all stakeholders.
- Flexibility to travel frequently, e.g. Vietnam and related APAC areas.
- Commitment to extended work hours when necessary to meet project deadlines.
