The Occupational Therapist use activities with specific goals to ensure maximum recovery and optimal independence of indiviudals with disease or injury. Occupational Therapist deal with the development and maintenance of a person's capacity, throughout life, to perform those tasks and roles essential to productive living, including self-care, daily living, leisure and work. The job scope may require a rotation in clincial duities to varied settings.

The Occupational Therapist must have the general clinical competences below (though not exclusive to this list) and had attained the specific area of competency for their specialty area. Depending on current rotation, the Occupational Therapist must also develop specific competencies in the amnagement of the patients in one of the disciplines:-

He/ she must be independent in the assessment, diagnosis, and management of complex cases and know when to seek guidance proactively when required.

You will perform general radiography independently at a high level in A&E, Inpatient and Outpatient settings. You will have the opportunity to be trained to perform specialized imaging after demonstrating your commitment and ability.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Perform Radiography to produce good quality diagnostic images in various settings such as Outpatient Clinics, Inpatient satellite and wards, Emergency Department, Operating Theatre etc.
• Be a patient’s advocate, to address patient’s imaging needs and radiation concerns
• Be a valued team-player in a team-based healthcare team providing care to the patient
• Opportunities for training in specialised modalities such as CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, Angiography, RISPACS

Job requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Radiography or Medical Imaging Science from a recognized institution
• Registered with the Allied Health Professions Council and holds a valid R1 License
• Able to work in fast-paced environment
• Perform rotating shift duties

You will work with a multi-disciplinary team to provide Physiotherapy Assessment and Management and treatment to patients for optimal recovery in areas including Musculoskeletal / Orthopedics, Cardiopulmonary, Neurology and Geriatric. For senior positions, you are expected to hold operational and administrative responsibilities, including having initiated quality improvements in clinical and service practice standards, mentoring and supervising junior staff and students.
