XCL World Academy is seeking to recruit a Financial Planning and Analysis Manager to ensure company resources are allocated in an optimised manner to support growth and to achieve the planned financial performance, while ensuring superior student learning outcomes and our stakeholders’ (students, colleagues, etc.) experiences.
Main Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate, timely and effective monthly management accounts and forecasts, including P&L, Enrollment, CAPEX, and cash flow.
- Provide financial visibility through routinely communicating financial and operational performances, risks and opportunities, to management.
- Develop actions required to achieve planned financial performance with management.
- Lead activities supporting the development of the Annual Budget and 5 Year Plan.
- Ensure that appropriate and adequate internal inputs (incl. financial and operational data) and external resources (e.g. market research materials) are used to (1) demonstrate understanding of market landscape and regulatory framework and (2) support the strategic plan.
- Develop and own financial models for the Annual Budget and 5 Year Plan.
- Review / assist country leaders to prepare decks for Group and Board’s approval.
- Monitor and drive the execution of Annual Budget and 5 Year Plan once approved.
- Business partner with academic and functional leaders.
- Provide senior leadership with relevant analytics and appropriate tools for decision-making – financial and operational.
- Lead development of CAPEX investment plan and business case.
- Drive operational efficiency review and support feasibility review of new initiatives.
- Prepare presentations in support of senior leadership meetings; or materials for ad hoc reporting.
Person Specifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent, MBA highly preferred.
- 5 - 8 years’ experience in FPA or business development roles.
- 3 years experience in big 4 firm for M&A transactions or valuation due deligence (VDD) exposure will have an added advantage.
- Strong leadership skills required.
- Experience in operating entities of MNC preferred.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills, experience in Business Intelligent tools (PowerBI) preferred.
- Agility: able to adapt to projects of differing magnitude and nature.
- Collaborative: able to engage and motivate different stakeholders.
- Granularity: demonstrate strong attention to detail.
- Good communicator: strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Sound technical knowledge: strong finance analysis skill, accounting knowledge and business process understanding.
- Good business acumen: quick in understanding business models / issues.
