REPORTS TO:

Qualified Person (Representative) / Senior Resident Engineer / Resident Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

• To review all Authority's and Contractor's drawings

• To provide all relevant endorsements required by the relevant authorities

• Supervise all civil, structural and geotechnical building works, both permanent and temporary

• To ensure that contractor had obtained all necessary permits and clearance to work

• To conduct site inspection and ensure that contractor(s) implement corrective actions and timely preventive/mitigation measures to protect surrounding structures

• To coordinate the contractor, AC, QP(D), relevant agencies, including interfacing contractors and consultants etc for the works

• To review, evaluate and assess all formwork structure, formwork support systems etc

• To review and supervise safety, environmental and health matters

• To supervise the installation of instrumentation

• To supervise sanitary and plumbing installations, pump drainage works etc

• To review, evaluate and assess the monitoring of instrumentation and interpretation of the results and provide analytical results/presentations

• To review Contractor's design and supervise all works

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

• Min. 3 years of experience in Cut & Cover tunnelling or supervision of installation of monitoring instruments, collation of monitoring data and use of software for presentation of monitoring data for analysis and interpretation.

• Diploma in Civil and Structural Engineering

• Possess a valid RTO cert by JAC of IES/ACES as QSS Singapore

• Ensuring foremen and workers meet regulatory work requirements.
• Responsible for all inspection activities being carried out.
• Ensuring environmental, safety, and health practices are carried out at all times.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years experience in Construction Projects
• Organized, meticulous with positive work attitude
• Able to work independently and a team player
• Good analytical, supervision, and communication skills

Client – Land Transport Authority

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

• To ensure an efficient Civil & Structural and Geotechnical & Tunnel design is achieved in accordance with Design Criteria and relevant standards;

• To ensure an efficient Civil & Structural and Geotechnical & Viaduct design is achieved in accordance with Design Criteria and relevant standards;

• To liaise with internal and external parties on all Civil & Structural and Geotechnical & Tunnel design matters and advises the NSC’s PRPM/SPM/PM regularly

• To liaise with internal and external parties on all Civil & Structural and Geotechnical & Viaduct design matters and advises the NSC’s PRPM/SPM/PM regularly;

• To co-ordinate the review of Contractor’s Civil & Structural and Geotechnical & Tunnel submissions and assists the NSC’s SPM/PM in conveying a timely response to the Contractor; To co-ordinate the review of Contractor’s Civil & Structural and Geotechnical & Viaduct submissions and assists the NSC’s SPM/PM in conveying a timely response to the Contractor;

• To identify and resolve potential design related issues during construction phase;

• To carry out any other duties as required by the Authority’s Project Management Team, including attending technical meetings and discussions, preparation of minutes of technical meetings and to provide technical support as required in the evaluations of Contractor’s claims etc.; and

• To ensure that the design intent is translated to construction on site by means of correct drawings and specifications.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or equivalent

• Minimum 3 years of relevant design management/coordination experience on projects similar in nature to the Works in the civil contract including design experience in geotechnical works for deep excavation foundation works for tunnel and/or viaduct/flyover project

• Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills

• Candidates with strong relevant years of experience will be considered for senior roles
