Responsibility:
Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of SAP programs to ensure successful delivery of projects within scope, budget, and timeline but not limited to:
Program Planning and Strategy
- Develop ERP transformation program / project plans: Create detailed roadmaps and timelines for the ERP transformation program while includes relevant workstreams, projects implementation or upgrade processes. Maintain organizational standards of satisfaction, quality, performance, and time.
- Align Program objectives with business goals: Work with senior leadership and stakeholders to ensure that the ERP system supports the organization’s strategy.
- Budget and resource management: Prepare budgets and ensure the project is cost-effective and within the financial constraints. Forecast the resources needed to achieve program objectives.
Stakeholder Engagement and Communication
- Engage key stakeholders: Facilitate communication between stakeholders at all levels, including executives, department heads, and end-users. Manage and align expectations between stakeholders to achieve the objectives of the program.
- Change management: Drive adoption by ensuring stakeholders understand and support the new ERP system, providing training, and managing resistance.
Team Leadership and Coordination
- Lead cross-functional teams: Manage teams composed of various department ensuring everyone is aligned with the ERP Transformation Program’s objectives. Coordinate and delegate activities to manage resources in an effective and efficient manner.
- Vendor management: Collaborate with ERP vendors, third-party consultants, and contractors to ensure timely delivery of services and products.
- Resolve conflicts and issues: Mediate disputes and problems within the team or with vendors to keep the project on track.
Risk Management and Problem Solving
- Identify and mitigate risks: Proactively spot potential risks (technical, financial, operational) and develop strategies to address them.
- Issue resolution: Handle escalations and ensure that technical or operational issues are resolved swiftly to avoid delays.
- Quality assurance: Ensure that the ERP system meets the required standards and functions as intended, including thorough testing before going live.
Program Management, Implementation and Deployment
- Program / Project Management: Keeping the program/project within budget, scope, timeline and within the resources allocated.
- Support NSBS Internal Approval Process: Support in the work of obtaining the required approvals in within the project/program approval framework of NS Bluescope.
- Vendors Management: Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables
- Oversee the technical implementation: Work closely with the digital department and the vendor to ensure that the ERP system is installed, configured, and integrated with other systems.
- Workstreams Management & Accountability: Be accountable in the delivery of the various workstreams. The listing below illustrates a few key workstreams that is vital for the successful delivery of this program
o Business processes and master data: Harmonize business processes following industry best practices. Establish new master data management governance and systems.
o Data migration and integrity: Ensure that existing data is correctly migrated to the new ERP system, maintaining data integrity and security.
o System integration: Ensure the ERP integrates smoothly with other enterprise systems.
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain detailed documentation: Keep track of all project documentation, including project plans, progress reports, risk assessments, and change logs.
- Regular progress reporting: Provide updates to senior leadership on project status, budget, risks, and performance metrics.
Training and User Support
- Oversee user training: Ensure that end-users are adequately trained on the ERP system.
- Post-launch support: Provide ongoing support to address any post-implementation issues or concerns from users.
- Transition to Business-As-Usual: Ensure all the open issues are resolved and required transition work is accomplished to move the project back to Business-As-Usual as per plan.
Requirements:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred. Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies (Agile/Hybrid/Waterfall), and best practices. (e.g., PMP, PgMP).
- Ten or more years of experience in project/program management roles, preferably for regional/global ERP implementation and process related projects.
- Examples of previous similar projects managed, with details on outcomes and successes.
- Computer science or engineering educational background.
- Exceptional skills in leadership, time management, facilitation, and organization.
- Strong stakeholders’ management experience and skills.
- Outstanding knowledge of change management principles.
- Proven ability to solve problems creatively and excellent analytical skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and resourceful.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
- The ability for the vendor to replace or source for a replacement Program Manager in the event the existing Program Manager resigned or unable to meet the expectations.
