Objectives of this role

1. Oversee project budgeting and cost control and manage change orders to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
2. Conducting regular site inspections to assess project progress, identify risks, and ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements.

Required skills and qualifications

1. A bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
2. 3+ years of relevant experience in construction project management, with a track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
3. Excellent project management skills, including effective planning, organising and prioritising tasks.
4. Strong leadership and communication skills to manage project teams and stakeholders.
5. Proficiency in construction management software, project scheduling tools and cost estimation software.

• Lead, manage, collaborate, and work with internal staff like AV Designer, Drafter, Engineer, Site Engineer, Safety Officer, and external parties like, Consultant, Main Contractor, Subcontractor, Manufacturer, and Supplier.
• Study schematic design and construction drawings to produce AV construction drawings
• Manage Project schedules, Project budgets, change in orders, Bill of Material
• Manage customer’s expectations and deliver customer experience
• Plan, manage and schedule resources.

Roles & Responsibilities:

your primary responsibility is to assist the project manager and lead the team in completing project objectives and ensuring progress. You will be responsible for the Bar Bending Schedule (BBS) management and reception of rebar materials on site, along with meticulous record-keeping of essential data.

Your core duties include:

1. Daily Meetings: Attend daily toolbox meetings and workers briefings to ensure team alignment and understanding of project goals.

2. Material Management: Assist in managing the Bar Bending Schedule (BBS) and oversee the reception of reinforcement materials sent to the site.

3. Drawing Familiarity: Possess a strong understanding of architectural and structural drawings to guide the team effectively.

4. Project Implementation: Communicate and implement the project manager's objectives to guarantee work progress, quality, and safety, meeting customer requirements.

5. Skill Demonstration: Provide hands-on training by personally demonstrating how to erect stirrups, install, and bind rebar to team members.

6. Quality Control: Check the size, quantity, and spacing of steel bars, ensuring completed rebars meet consultant's specifications and PE Design Requirements.

7. Inspection and Rectification: Work closely with RE or RTO on site to conduct inspections, rectify defects, and oversee handover to the concrete supervisor for casting.

8. Efficiency Targets: Achieve efficiency targets set by the company and site Project Manager, ensuring timely completion of tasks.

9. Reporting: Daily reporting of progress, quality, safety, and efficiency to the project manager before the end of the workday.

Job Specifications:

1. Certification: Hold a valid BCSS certificate, demonstrating proficiency in steel bar skills through the BCA test.
2. Technical Proficiency: Able to read, understand, and execute work based on construction drawings, possessing basic drawing recognition skills. Proficient in reading material lists and BBS drawings.
3. Communication Skills: Exhibit excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills to facilitate effective team coordination.
4. Experience: Have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in rebar supervision and construction projects.

• Oversee tender works including provide the directions on planning, construction technique, quality of tender submission documents, risk and issue management, tender price negotiation with suppliers and subcons for finalization.
• Review tender documents, scope of works, checking the feasibility for qualification, financial criteria.
• Preparing presentations, risk matrix, information to top management to get approval for bidding.
• Preparing of technical & commercial bids as per the tender requirements.
• Supporting projects in the technical area, project strategy and cost control.
• Develop internal training curriculums to enhance internal capability.

Roles & Responsibilities

1.Revises and provides counsel on contract terms and conditions, examining project scope and conducting cost negotiations.

2.Manages project cost control and oversees project budget monitoring for profit optimization.

Also responsible for work-in-progress monitoring, generating WIP reports (comparing revenue, costs, and physical completion), and certifying progress claims.

3.Handles variation or change request claims, reviews additions and omissions, and substantiates costs.

4.Prepares documentation for tender bids, including cost spreadsheets and profitability analysis.

5.Manages contractual disputes with internal and external stakeholders, prepares contract documents and agreements, and collaborates with legal counsel on contract arbitration or litigation.

6.Identifies project risks, defends claims, resolves disputes, and works with the Managerial Accounting Manager on budget forecasting and project cashflow reviews.

7.Collaborates with Business Units for monthly project progress and costing updates.

8.Drives continuous improvement initiatives and best practices development.

Requirements:

A relevant degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience in Contracts Management.

Proficiency in interpreting financial statements.

• Reviewing construction plans and preparing quantity requirements.
• Scrutinizing maintenance and material costs, as well as contracts to ensure the best deals.
• Liaising with site managers, clients, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Preparing reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, risk assessment, and other documents.
• Advising managers and clients on improvements and new strategies.
• Keeping track of materials and ordering more when required.
• Documenting any changes in design and updating budgets.
• Establishing and maintaining professional relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
• Traveling from the office to various sites as required.
