2D/3D Designer

Responsibilities:

• Develop creative and visually engaging design concepts for F&B spaces that align with the company’s CI.
• Create mood boards and initial design ideas to communicate concepts effectively.
• Prepare precise technical drawings, including floor plans and elevations, for construction.
• Ensure all drawings are accurate and comply with industry standards and project specifications.
• Prepare comprehensive design presentations and documentation for submission to building management and other relevant authorities.

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Interior Design, Architecture or a related field.

• Manage multiple project concurrently and meet tight deadlines.

We are looking for a Research Associate to develop novel 3D printing technologies in the area of large-scale 3D cementitious structural printing.

Key Responsibilities:

Structural Printing

• Large-scale structural modules with Robotic arm and Gantry system.
• Programing code for Robotic arm and Gantry system
• Operating the printing system including mixer, pump, robotic arm, and Gantry system

Printing Path Optimisation

• Computational design of 3D concrete printing structure
• Optimise the printing path to ensure the smooth structure surface finish and excellent mechanical properties.
• Conduct structural testing, such as tensile, compression, flexural and shear tests
• To investigate the key parameters in the design of 3D printing concrete specimens on the structural performance.
• Conduct numerical analysis using finite element modelling of structural elements by using FEM
• Data acquisition and Image processing with MATLAB

Experimental Investigation

• Design and fabrication of experimental facilities including nozzles and inline control systems based on the theoretical model and CFD simulation.

Job Requirements:

• Master degree in 3D cementitious material printing, additive manufacturing or Civil Engineering, with a specialization in Structural Engineering
• At least 2 years of research experience in 3D concrete printing (3DCP) with strong knowledge on 3DCP Process and path planning, Design for 3DCP, tool path and machine code generation
• Computational Design and 3D concrete printing
• Possess good knowledge of structural analysis, concrete and steel materials, and finite element analysis
• Strong knowledge and experience in large scale 3D cementitious material printing
• Excellent programing code for robotic arm and gantry system operation.
• Strong experience in parametric modelling software like Rhinoceros 3D, Grasshopper, CAD/CAE tools like MasterCAM, Robotmaster.
• Ability to work on structural and surface optimization
• Excellent interpersonal, problem solving and analytic skills
• Able to work in a multi-disciplinary team
