Boasting one of the largest family communities in Singapore and expanding fast in Indonesia and Malaysia, as well as other SEA countries, we are now seeking an experienced and dynamic Accounting Director to lead our finance team and oversee all aspects of the accounting function.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing a team of finance executives and driving strategic initiatives to optimize financial performance. This role requires strong leadership skills, in-depth knowledge of accounting principles, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. The Accounting Director will play a key role in shaping the financial strategy of the organization and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of finance executives, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
• Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
• Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, including financial statement preparation, reconciliations, and analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial plans aligned with organizational objectives.
• Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support decision-making and drive business growth.
• Coordinate and facilitate external audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Evaluate and optimize financial systems and processes to streamline operations and enhance productivity.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices in accounting and finance, and ensure the organization remains compliant.
• Manage relationships with external stakeholders including auditors, tax authorities, and financial institutions.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the finance team.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA designation preferred.
• Proven experience (X years) in a leadership role overseeing accounting and finance functions, preferably in a complex organization.
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrated experience in managing and developing a team of finance professionals.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels of the organization.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or similar platforms.

This is a 1 year direct contract role which require the shortlisted candidate to be based onsite on client office.
