Job Description:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts & Admin Intern to join our team. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in both accounting and administrative tasks, contributing to the smooth operation of our organization. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Answer inquiries from customers, guests, and vendors promptly and professionally.
• Handle guest reservations and ensure all bookings are accurately recorded.
• Prepare invoices and customers' statements of accounts in a timely manner.
• Monitor online reviews and social media channels to identify any negative feedback and collaborate with the team for service recovery.
• Perform data-entry duties, including updating records and maintaining databases.
• Assist with other administrative tasks as needed, such as filing, scanning, and organizing documents.
• Collaborate with team members to support various projects and initiatives.

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing at least a diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Job Responsibilities

• Check that the daily night audit report agrees with the day postings and settlements.
• Verify that all allowances and paid out vouchers are properly authorized.
• Prepare and distribute the daily F&B highlights and Revenue journal for the hotel’s departmental manager’s morning briefing.
• Audit the banquet functions and ensure the charges are as per banquet event orders.
• Audit all outlet reports and tally them with Opera for accuracy. Check that genuine discounts are given.
• Audit the credit card transactions for accuracy. Ensure the POS details summary reports agree with PMS.
• Check the authenticity of all FO paid outs/rebates and outlet rebates and verify for accuracy.
• Perform any other job tasks as assigned.
