1. Comply with approved standard of nursing practice
2. Participate in activities to improve the quality of care
3. Attend to needs of the residents. Ensure the safety, comfort and well-being of the residents and reports residents’ need to the nurse
4. Check, monitor and record residents’ vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respirations and blood pressure
5. Ensure the comfort and good personal hygiene of the residents under her/his care, e.g. bed bath/shower bath, changing of clothes and bed sheets, keeping them clean and dry
6. Assist in the transfer and positioning of non-ambulant residents
7. Assist in the conduct of daily exercise for the residents
8. Assist in serving meals and drinks; and feeding residents
9. Maintain accurate documentation of care given
10. Assist the nurse in nursing care, e.g. caring for patients with urinary catheter
11. Accompany residents for their outing trips
12. Alert nurses to emergency situations
Additional Duties
13. Work with nurses to maintain a safe and clean environment in the nursing home
14. Carry out any other duties as assigned by nurses
Main Requirements
Education, Training and Experience
· GCE N Level
· WSQ Higher Certificate in Healthcare Support (Nursing Care)/ITC in Healthcare (Inpatient Nursing)
