Job Description:
We are seeking a Laboratory Assistant with a biomedical or medical technology background to join our team at Medical Centre location. This position focuses on Haematology and Biochemistry and involves conducting routine and complex laboratory tests on human fluids and tissues to aid in diagnosis, treatment, and disease monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform analytical tests across clinical lab sections: bacteriology, immunohematology, chemistry, haematology, parasitology, serology, and urinalysis.
• Adhere to SOPs, MOH regulations, ISO, and CAP standards, ensuring quality assurance and control in all testing procedures.
• Report discrepancies in results and collaborate with the HOD and team for continuous lab improvement.
• Engage in developmental work for new tests and participate in Total Quality Management (TQM) activities.
• Document and maintain control values for lab reagents and equipment.
• Provide timely, clinically relevant updates to enhance lab contributions to patient care.

Requirements:

• Educational Background: Diploma in Biomedical Science or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years in a clinical lab, preferably in a hospital or commercial setting.
• Skills: Familiarity with ULTRA software is advantageous; knowledge of HPLC and ICMS instruments is a plus.
