• Managing client relationshipsAccount managers are the main point of contact between a client and a company, and are responsible for ensuring that clients are satisfied and receive the support they need.
• Managing salesAccount managers are responsible for managing sales, including setting sales targets, generating and forecasting sales pipelines, and making regular sales performance reports.
• Resolving customer complaintsAccount managers are responsible for resolving customer complaints and disputes by providing effective solutions.
• Working with internal teamsAccount managers work with different internal teams to ensure that the client's needs are understood and met.
• Attending client meetingsAccount managers attend client meetings and are available to speak with clients whenever they need to get in touch.
• Leading project managementAccount managers may lead project management activities.
• Delivering presentationsAccount managers may deliver presentations to clients or to the company's management.

Account managers should have excellent communication and negotiation skills, and be customer service oriented. They should also have good product knowledge, and be familiar with CRM software and MS Office

• Participate in brainstorming, office activities, staff meetings, and client meetings; research and assist with program development for existing clients and new prospects
• Perform prospecting activities such as cold calling and networking
• Follow up with clients regularly to ensure needs are being met and to identify opportunities
• Maintain a database of clients, prospects, partners, and vendors
