About this role:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accounts Executive to join our Shared Service Team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our accounting processes. The Senior Accounts Executive will be responsible for the daily finance operations, financial reporting, and collaborative stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Transaction Processing:

• Responsible for the end-to-end process of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger transactions.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial transactions.

Reconciliation and Reporting:

• Conduct regular reconciliations of financial data and resolve any discrepancies.
• Timely preparation of Financial statements with supporting schedules.

Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
• Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and implement necessary adjustments.

Process Improvement:

• Identify opportunities for process improvements within the shared service team.
• Work collaboratively with team members to implement efficiency-enhancing initiatives.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

• Collaborate with other departments to resolve financial queries and provide support.
• Work closely with external auditors during periodic audits.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certification such as CPA or ACCA is preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in a similar role, ideally from FMCG or wholesale trading industries
• Strong knowledge of Financial Reporting Standards, Corporate Tax, and GST.
• Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office applications (Microsoft Business Central)

• Supervise all aspects of warehouse operations, including local transportation to and from KWE warehouse(s) in Singapore.
• Establish and oversee fundamental practices, such as pre-inspection of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and daily walkabouts in the work environment, with support from section leads under the Senior Logistics Manager (SLM).
• Monitor Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) monthly reports and take the lead in addressing any negative findings.
• Respond to external or internal escalations regarding deviations or potential risks from established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Provide relevant guidance and direction to section leads on adjusting, correcting, or enhancing daily operations.
• Delegate tasks to respective section leads by establishing a schedule.

MightyKids, Families & Community (MKFC) is one of the core programmes of Life Community, where we serve children & youth from low-resourced, vulnerable families in the Telok Blangah region. We operate an activity centre in the community that seeks to provide a safe space for these children & youth, with programmes to support their needs and holistic development.

Duties & Responsibilities

Your main duties and responsibilities include the following:

• Manage a team of staff to ensure the smooth running of the programme’s daily operations and maintenance of our MKFC centre.
• Provide guidance and motivation to staff to achieve the programme objectives, develop workplans for the team in alignment with agency goals.
• Conduct internal and external environmental assessments to identify areas for development and improvement so as to better meet the needs of the clients.
• Oversee the curation and development of programmes based on needs of clients.
• Provide coaching and guidance for casework management, needs assessment and intervention plans.
• Perform casework management for complex issues and conduct home visits with the team, as needed.
• Ensure service standards are maintained through programme supervision, strong operational framework and monitoring of programme outcomes.

Skills, Competencies and Qualification

• Work closely with Category team in the securing the material to ensure that project milestones are maintained.
• Manage risk, track and analyze budget gap to ensure that all products/services acquisition are within budget/EAC.
• Make timely and routine escalation to management as appropriately on acquisition irregularity (justify and highlight cost/schedule impact due to scope creep).
• Develop mitigation plan to address any impact due to these gaps.
• Lead all acquisition cost reduction initiatives, execution of these plans and track its result on a routine basis.

Requirements:

• University Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, IT or related
• Fluent in English
• Experience in project nature environment, preferably in low volume, high mix environment
• Good knowledge in Tactical and strategic supplier management
• Project Management / PMO experiences.
• Familiar in Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Security and Cyber related topics and experience in managing installation companies would be an added advantage.
• Familiar and experience with Power BI and other Microsoft office.
• Knowledge of SAPbyDesign will be beneficial.
