MINDS has been caring for Persons with Intellectual Disabilities (PWIDs) and their families since 1962.
Grounded in the belief that all PWIDs have innate abilities and talents, MINDS is committed to empowering them and enhancing their quality of life, while advocating for greater inclusivity for PWIDs as a nation.
MINDS is today one of the largest charities in Singapore employing more than 850 staff. RESPONSIBILITIES
To provide support for MI's project in the following ways:
- Recruiting and breifing project participants on project protocol
- Administrering surveys to participants and following up with participants to ensure that they are adhering to the project protocol
- Providing on-site support to project participants when needed (e.g at participants' homes or at product developers' site)
- Providing administrative support to MI's project, such as coordinating schedules with project stakeholders and sourcing for quotes from vendors
- Consolidating inputs from various participants for sharing with project partner(s)
- Facilitating effective communications between project partner(s) and participant (e.g paraphrasing project information in an accessible, easy-read manner for participants where necessary)
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Higher Nitec or A Level and above; fresh graduates are welcome to apply
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office programmes (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- iii. Fluent in English and another language (Mandarin, Malay, or Tamil)
- Able to commute occasionally when needed
- Able to work outside of office hours occasionally when needed
- Experience with interacting with people with intellectual disability is a plus
- vii. Experience working in a social service agency is a plus
OTHER INFORMATION
Occasional commuting and non-office hours work can be expected: The staff will need to commute to where project participants and product developers are and during non-office hours if needed.
