Requirements:

• Minimum of Diploma/Degree in any related field, such as Accounting / Finance / Computing / Engineering

This advertisement is recruiting for the position of Admin Assistant.

If successfully selected, you will be seconded to MOE primary school located in Corporation Walk.

Contract Period: from 1 Mar 2025 to 28 Feb 2026 (Base Year).

Option to Extend: from 1 Mar 2026 to 28 Feb 2027.

Personnel to be deployed at the following hours:

• Mondays to Thursdays: 7:00am to 4:00pm, inclusive of 0.5 hr lunch break
• Fridays: 7:00am to 3:30pm, inclusive of 0.5 hour lunch break
• Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays

The service required are set out as follows :

• Perform as Admin Assistant located at the School’s General Office to attend to general queries, eg. public queries and attending to the needs of pupils, to ensure all queries correspond to the public/student in a timely manner, receive deliveries.
• Assist the General Office in other secondary duties such as updating daily student attendance, collect, enter, record and maintain data and information into the school’s IT systems, spreadsheets and/or other forms of records, manage correspondence, including typing of documents, filing and faxing.
• Perform any other administrative duties assigned by the School Leaders or Admin Manager.

The personnel shall minimally have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

• Good communication, pleasant disposition and inter-personal skills.
• Basic Proficiency in MS Office like Word, Excel and PowerPoint and GCE ‘O’ or ‘N’ level with a credit in English.
• Preferably have at least one year of past experience working in a school environment.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain transaction of AR and AP including but not limited to process payments, issue invoices, staff reimbursements, bank reconciliations and general ledger.
• GST preparation and submission
• Insurance claims for medical and work injury incidents
• Medical claims/ insurance claims/ allowance claims.
• Provide HR administrative and corporate services
• In charge for the on boarding and off boarding of staffs
• Applications for various types of claims, grants, programmes and courses for employees
• Updating of employees' personal particulars
• Managing of employees' leave and claims
• Any other ad-hoc activities assigned.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Accounting
• Min 2 years of relevant experience.
• Previous experience in an accounting and admin role is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and good team player with good communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple duties and responsibilities at one time
• SAGE, Excel and Word
