The main responsibility is to create and execute the full lifecycle of the donor experience mainly through the donor advised fund (DAF). This is focused on giving opportunities, to achieve the donor’s philanthropy goals. This position facilitates active relationships with HNWI and corporate donors by providing strategic philanthropy advice and promoting best practices.
The candidate will be responsible for increasing donations, promoting grant disbursements, encouraging legacy gifts, and enhancing the affinity of donors with the organisation. He/She will be responsible for mainly corporate donor development and engagement strategy to achieve these objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of donors, cultivating and sustaining active relationships that encourage and inform their charitable giving, including encouraging strategic large gifts.
- Engage and guide a broad range of donor types from self-directed, to donors who have yet to take advantage of CFS’s advisory services, as well as those open to exploring complex charitable programmes.
- Work closely with corporate and individual donors to develop strategic philanthropic strategies.
- Provide excellent service; advise donors in articulating, planning and achieving their giving goals.
- Provide strategic philanthropy advisory to donors by recommending impactful programme solutions to guide their giving to be more deliberate and informed.
- Proactively provide information and respond to donors’ philanthropy priorities. Collaborate across teams to facilitate fund administration and donations.
- Connect donors to meaningful funding opportunities by collaborating with internal stakeholders on philanthropy recommendations and grantmaking.
- Lead ad-hoc projects to increase donor affinity and donor engagement, expand advisory services, improve efficiencies, build capacity and capabilities of the team.
- Collaborate with the Marketing and Grants teams to present educational opportunities for donors and/or their employees to learn more about the charitable landscape in Singapore.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited tertiary institution.
- Proven experience in fundraising, donor engagement, or philanthropy advisory services is preferred.
- Prior experience in Corporate Social Responsibility is an advantage.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to analyse and synthesise information towards a longer-term objective.
- Forward thinking with a proactive approach to donor engagement and retention.
- Agile and flexible thinker able to thrive in a fluid work environment.
- Proficiency in spoken and written Mandarin would be advantageous.
- A deep understanding of the philanthropic landscape and non-profit sector is preferred.
