Our ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of current design software and skilled with every step of the creative process from concept to the final deliverable. The designer should be able to take direction from written or spoken ideas and convert them into a design that connects and must have the ability to take a project from ideation to completion.

Responsibilities

• Work on a wide range of projects using various computer software to visualise and develop graphics that meet event goals

• Design graphics for a variety of uses: brand campaigns, website refresh, mobile app graphics, emailers, social media graphics, video and motion graphics for social media and event usage, etc.

• Translate and adapt creative direction into high quality design including adapting assets to various digital platforms

• Work independently and cooperatively on multiple projects to meet deadlines on simultaneous projects

• Collaborate and brainstorm with the creative and marketing teams to deliver innovative digital solutions that align with brand standards and brand identity

Skills & Qualifications

• Minimally a diploma in digital design, graphic design, art or similar discipline

• Proven experience in digital design with a strong portfolio

• Minimum 6 years’ experience with Adobe Creative Suite including After Effects, Premiere, Figma, Illustrator, Photoshop, MailChimp

• Excellent time management skills for meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment

In this position, you will join our Buildings business, where you will play an integral part in a team of highly skilled specialists that ‘bring ideas to life’ for our clients across all types of projects.

• To oversee the lighting portion of projects, including but not limited to:

1. Concept design
2. Production of lighting layouts in the form of, but not limited to, mark-ups
3. Lighting calculations
4. Energy code compliance
5. Report preparation
6. Presentation materials - renderings and graphic packages
7. Fixture schedules and specifications
8. Hand sketches
9. Develop project cost estimation and recommendation
10. Reviewing mock-ups

• Contribute to work winning and market development.
• Provide deliverables and performance targets that comply with applicable codes and Aurecon standards.
• Manage projects and tasks of lighting design projects, nurture existing client relationships and proactively pursues opportunities for new business.
• Provide client consultation by drawing on professional expertise and deep knowledge of Aurecon’s consultancy services.

What can you bring to the team?

Firstly, you will share our genuine passion for re-imagining engineering and be someone that actively pursues continuous learning to help shape the future. You will also need the following:

• Bachelors' degree in related field, with 8 years related professional experience in the lighting design industry. Experience in project bidding, work winning, and client engagement is preferred.
• Ability to work closely with clients and architects to develop high quality lighting solutions, and to quickly gain their trust and respect.
• Ability to manage lighting project scope, design resources, and the client to achieve budget and schedule objectives while meeting key stakeholder critical success factors.
• Strong knowledge of local and international applicable codes and standards; and deep understanding and knowledge of lighting systems and lighting controls.
• Good knowledge of Photoshop, DIALux, AGI32, Photometric Toolbox, and other lighting software. Functional knowledge of recent versions of AutoCAD; and preferably, Revit.

1. Meeting client and curating the clients' brief accurately, providing spatial layout, furnishing and design advice.
2. Preparation of Autocad drawings (working drawings), 2D renders, 3D models, perspectives and renders for clients' approval and contractors' renovation work.
