Detention Sessions (DS) Co-ordinator- Assist HOD & SH Student Management

(a) Supervise DS Monday to Friday, after school till 4.30pm;

Position Objective

• Planning in KG2 (Age 5-6 year olds) emphasizes has a balance of learning engagements as planned by teachers using the IB PYP framework as well as using AERO (American Education Reaches Out) student standards.
• Reporting quarterly on student progress on Gold student achievement standards across 8 domains for applicable grade levels of PreN – KG1 and for all grades conducting quarterly Parent Teacher Conferences or Student Led Conferences; semester 1 & 2 Unified classroom Semester reporting to parents.
• Planning which accommodates a range of ability levels and learning styles; teachers are expected to modify and accommodate for students as needed, i.e. accommodating individual language needs (EAL), student support services, students who are struggling as well as students who need more of a challenge
• Planning in a collegial and professional manner with peers, showing respect, being prepared and on time, and adhering to the school wide meeting norms and team’s essential agreements at all times
• Involving students, parents and colleagues in the assessment process on a regular basis and as appropriate

Position Requirements

• At least 12 years of experience in working with children as an Early Years teacher with relevant qualifications
• Curriculum development knowledge is required

Working Requirements

• Sponsoring and/or coaching after school arts, activities or sports are part of the responsibility of the professional educator. JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible in delivering an engaging Japanese Mother Tongue Language programme to students from Primary Year 1 to Year 6.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Write and plan the TGI Japanese curriculum for different ability groups, aligned to Japanese National Curriculum for Japanese Language.
• Create meaningful language opportunities for students to promote, and strengthen fluency in Japanese Mother Tongue.
• Establish an effective and responsive classroom environment where students are active participants.

• Participate in Co-Curricular Activities, and camps.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Qualified and certified primary/ elementary teacher by the equivalent of Ministry of Education in their native country or where the qualification/ certification was obtained.

Agora Student Care provides care and supervision to primary school-going children after school hours. We provide a safe and supportive environment, support students' academic progress, as well as their social and emotional development. Responsibilities

• Implement class programmes in accordance with our pedagogical framework, including conducting the Agora Student Care enrichment programme, encompassing Learn to Learn, Life Skills and Physical Activity.
• Supervise primary school children in preparing for, initiating, and completing their daily homework.
• Observe and track evidence of children's academic and holistic development using educational tools provided by Agora Colearning, and contribute to reporting progress to parents.
• Prepare, rearrange, and upkeep teaching resources and learning environment.
• Ensure safety and security at all times, taking active initiative to identify and mitigate risks.
• Model positive behaviour to ensure compliance and discipline.
• Ensure smooth transfer of student custody between the parties (parents/guardians, drivers), quick checking-in and out of the Agora centre.

Requirements

• Diploma or higher qualification. Diploma in Care and Programme (Student Services & Coaching) or WSQ Student Care Programme is an advantage

• Ability to understand the primary school curricular content and supervise homework completion (accuracy and academic support are not expected, but minimum understanding is important)
