The Station Manager/Branch Manager serves as the official representative of Regional Airline.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operational Oversight:
- Manage and monitor the achievement of On-Time Performance (OTP) at the station.
- Ensure station operational plans are in place and manage the opening of new stations.
- Supervise station support functions, including HR Operations, DCS, station equipment, infrastructure, materials, and COA compliance.
- Safety and Security:
- Conduct regular safety, security, and service meetings with local entities and submit reports to the Head of Station Production & Performance.
- Implement and monitor a Local Emergency Response Plan (LERP) and delay management in line with ISO 9001:2015 and government regulations.
- Provide risk mitigation strategies for medium-level safety/security concerns.
- Ground Handling Coordination:
- Supervise and monitor Ground Handling Agent (GHA) performance and ensure alignment with SLAs and SGHAs.
- Validate and monitor COA holders' certifications and register new GHA personnel as required.
- Ensure new procedures, notices, and manuals are communicated to GHAs.
- Cargo Operations:
- Oversee and evaluate cargo handling activities, ensuring compliance with regulations and no delays.
- Coordinate with internal divisions for handling special cargo and liaise with regulators for adherence to standards.
- Refueling and Maintenance:
- Supervise refueling activities, ensuring accuracy in fuel orders and proper documentation by ground engineers.
- Coordinate with stakeholders for maintenance and availability of Ground Support Equipment (GSE).
- Cost Management:
- Ensure cost efficiency and effective budget management for station operations.
- Monitor and control financial activities, including ticket sales and other station-level revenues.
- Auditing and Reporting:
- Serve as an auditee/Management Representative (MR) during audits and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare and submit performance, SLA, and financial reports to the direct supervisor.
- Training and Development:
- Coordinate training for station personnel, including COA training in collaboration with the Ground Operations Training Unit.
- Maintain and monitor training records for GHAs.
Authority:
- Decision-making on operational safety and security issues affecting ground handling at the station.
- Coordination with internal divisions and external stakeholders to resolve station-level challenges.
- Submission and management of station budgets, equipment needs, and training plans.
- Supervision of SGHA/SLA implementations and recommendations for new partnerships.
- Management of delay codes and reporting irregularities (IReg) for corrective action.
- Authorization of updates to IT systems and operational tools to improve efficiency.
- Liaison with regulators and authorities for cargo handling and other compliance matters.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- OTP Achievement: Percentage of flights departing/arriving on time.
- Safety Compliance: Number of safety incidents reported and resolved.
- SLA Adherence: Evaluation of Ground Handling Agent performance.
- Budget Efficiency: Cost management effectiveness.
- Cargo Performance: Compliance with regulations and reduction in cargo-related delays.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in ground handling or station management roles.
- Skills:
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficient in aviation software and tools related to ground operations.
- Certifications: Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015, safety management systems, and GHA training certifications.
