The Business Development Manager will play a key role in driving revenue growth, identifying new opportunities, and building strong relationships with clients. You will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to secure new business, retain key accounts, and expand our market presence.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Growth & Strategy:
- Develop and implement strategies to identify and secure new business opportunities.
- Analyze market trends and identify potential clients in the corporate events space.
- Develop sales forecasts, set revenue targets, and drive team performance to meet goals.
2. Client Acquisition & Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers (e.g., HR heads, marketing leads).
- Create tailored proposals and pitch presentations that align with client needs.
- Follow up on leads, negotiate contracts, and close deals effectively.
3. Account Management:
- Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to encourage repeat business.
- Ensure client expectations are managed and exceeded throughout the event lifecycle.
- Gather client feedback post-event to identify areas for improvement and upselling opportunities.
4. Collaboration Across Teams:
- Work closely with the Senior Project Manager and Events Team to align client expectations with operational deliverables.
- Collaborate with the Creative and Logistics teams to ensure proposals are realistic and executable.
5. Reporting & Analysis:
- Track sales metrics, prepare regular reports, and present insights to senior management.
- Provide feedback on market insights to improve service offerings.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and pipeline using CRM tools.
Requirements:
Experience: Minimum 4-5 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, or Account Management in the Events Management, Hospitality, or MICE industry.
Education: Degree/Diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field.
Skills:
- Proven ability to drive sales growth and meet revenue targets.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent presentation and communication abilities.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
