We are seeking for an experienced Business Development Assistant Manager / Manager who possesses strong sales skills in electrical and electronics material products for various specialized industries in Office and Industrial Automation, Healthcare and Home Appliances. This position will lead the sales team with the overall objective of drive export sales, generating profit and increasing market shares in Japan, UK and ASEAN region.
Responsibilities
The proposed role will directly report to the Managing Director. This position will entail the following responsibilities but not limited to:
· Manage new business development, achieve volume and value budget sales and targets as set by the Managing Director of Sales in the region;
· Be familiar with all company products and its categorized pricing structure, monitor the clients' performance against the business plan and develop alternative strategies when needed;
· Build strong partnerships and close relationships with business stakeholders and manage sales growth and profitability in line with business objectives;
· Collaborate with R&D, factory and head office in Japan to manage the functional area of end to end process;
· Communicate critical business information and work with the marketing team to fulfil annual business plans and profitability;
· Have sufficient understanding and perceptivity in order to be able to target customers' needs and take into account each unique business environment when conducting business;
· Contribute and implement an annual business plan taking into account all levels of growth: commercial agreements, sales actions, education, sales opportunities, profitability, trade terms, etc.;
· Work with the Director of Sales to help devise and develop corporate sales strategies for the company;
· Collaborate with other sales team members, marketing team, logistics, finance and HR, etc.
Requirements
· Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field;
· Minimum 5 years of working experience in sales and management in related fields, working experience in Japanese market/Company/Project Experience dealing with Japanese Company;
· Working experience in the optical-related and/or energy-related products will be a plus advantage;
· Proficient in English and Japanese with excellent verbal and written communication including presentation skills to liaise with both English speaking and Japanese speaking stakeholders;
· Ability to work effectively as individual or with a team to understand and interpret requirements leading to technical implementation;
· Ability to work effectively and independently under pressure, meet deadlines, multitask and to prioritize tasks effectively;
· Responsible of both maintaining and improving client satisfaction and retention;
· Overseas traveling is expected.
