Job Description

• Assessing, managing and monitoring compliance of regional activities to applicable data protection and privacy laws
• Lead to update/localise existing group Data Protection policies, standards and procedures to conform to internal best practice and local Data Privacy laws / regulations. Develop missing ones
• Monitoring compliance with the Global Privacy Program across APAC regions including ensuring adherence to data protection-related policies
• Making filings with, responding to, and act as the contact point for the supervisory authority and maintaining relationships with, data protection regulators across APAC
• Acting as a point of contact for data subjects with regards to their requests
• Generating and regularly update Compliance Management KPIs

The Successful Applicant

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Law, Information Technology Law, or an equivalent field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with substantial knowledge and expertise in Data Protection/Privacy, with a specific emphasis on the APAC region
• Extensive experience in the realm of data privacy law and compliance, preferably within a multinational organisation
• Solid understanding of Personal Data Protection and Privacy Laws, particularly the GDPR, PDPA, PIPA, APP, APPI, and familiarity with other significant privacy frameworks and legislations in the region
• Qualification on Data Privacy such as IAPP Information Privacy Professional/Asia (CIPP/A) and Europe (CIPP/E), IAPP Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) or Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPP/IT), Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP) or equivalent data privacy qualification

Regional Data Protection Officer (APAC) – International Beauty Brand

About the Role

A newly established position for APAC, the Regional Data Protection Officer (DPO) facilitates senior management and teams in the APAC region in establishing and maintaining compliant data protection and privacy practices in accordance with regional laws. This role reports to the APAC Regional Organization, holds direct responsibilities within the Data Protection/Privacy Organization, and collaborates with the Central Data Protection team.

Job Scope

• Overseas Social Media Management: Responsible for content planning, writing, and operation on overseas media platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram (INS), Facebook (FB), YouTube, Twitter, TikTok, etc. Effectively explore the unique features of company products and brand culture, promote them through various social media channels, enhance influence and visibility, and shape the brand image. Creativity and a passion for social media are preferred.
• Graphic Design: Collaborate on the creation of related graphic posters, PowerPoint (PPT) presentations, Visual Identity (VI) manuals, videos, etc., in coordination with brand assets, social media management, and public relations activities. Video production skills are preferred.
• Digital Marketing
• Event Planning and Execution: Responsible for planning and executing brand public relations events in Southeast Asia. Capable of independently developing feasible event planning proposals and assisting in on-site event execution. Prior experience in campus event planning and an interest in brand public relations are preferred.

Requirement

• Diploma/Degree in Brand, Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, Design related fields.

We are looking for a dynamic relationship builder and collaborator as an intern for our MBC department. You will support the Junior & Senior MBC colleagues to help drive our Marketing and Communications strategies.

As an intern, you will get the opportunity, but not limited to:

• Develop, organise and manage event requirements, from ideation to execution, in conjunction with the Sales Department’s objectives
• Work with regional Sales Teams and partner on campaigns and initiatives
• Develop collaterals/PowerPoint slides specific to the events, together with the Creative Team
• Coordinate printing of any collateral for campaigns
• Speak with internal Subject Matter Experts on content creation needs, if required
• Prioritise objectives with the Sales Team, be proactive in lead creation as well as evaluation of events’ statistics and summaries
• Coordinate with event organisers to supply any necessary information for promotional materials, such as logo, links etc.
• Create campaigns in sales systems, ensuring correct tagging of all contacts
• Pull relevant lists from sales systems
• Initiate tracking, managing and uploading post event results
