Job Description

Job Requirements

· Minimum Diploma graduate

As members of the boarding school community, the Boarding Executive will work with the boarding management closely to run daily boarding operations.

• As a disciplinarian to instill self-discipline and good time management of each boarder
• As a caregiver, to nurture the social – emotional development of each boarder
• Create and maintain a supportive atmosphere for student learning and development within the boarding community
• Assist boarders in transitions, learn life-skills in resolving conflicts, supporting their academic and non-academic pursuits, building of character and independence. To guide boarders develop a sense of community through supervision and participation of programs and activities.

Job Description

• Work with the Boarding Mentors & develop a professional relationship with boarders to better attend to their needs and issues
• Manage discipline of boarders including safety and security of boarders
• Contact point with parents and teachers of boarders assigned
• Develop and conduct boarding programs and activities
• Able to work on late evenings, weekends, and Public Holidays to support the boarders' after-school programs and events.
• Perform all administrative work, operational support or any other miscellaneous tasks related to the role
• Perform room and hygiene checks and follow up with the boarder involved
• Assist with reception duties as and when required.

Requirements

• Minimum diploma holder, preferably in education, counselling, social sciences or psychology related fields
• Experience with boarding services and working with youth in a formal employment or as a volunteer capacity
• Possess appropriate dispositions such as empathy towards students and to manage the demands of the job.
• Good verbal and written communication skills especially in English and Mandarin to handle queries and concerns from Mandarin-speaking associates in regard with the programs and activities matter.
• Organised, meticulous, and able to multitask.
• Additional skill sets like first-aid and mentoring students would be an added advantage.
• Must be willing to stay in at Boarding School.

Job Summary

The Care Advisor (2-year contract) supports the Manager (Team Lead) to spearhead Yayasan MENDAKI’s push towards last-mile service delivery (LMSD) to better meet the needs of the Malay/Muslim community. Yayasan MENDAKI is embarking on a strategic client-centric initiative to achieve the next bound of service delivery, by proactively reaching out to families to understand their needs, care for them and partner with them in their journey of lifelong learning.

Key Responsibility Areas

Outreach - Implement new outreach methods and channels within the boundary of the

satellite centre.

• Work with the team and team lead to reach out to different segments of the community, including identifying and establishing contact with under-served segments
• Support the planning, deployment and assessment of outreach efforts

Care - Experiment with innovative client-centric approaches.

• Work with the team and team lead to pilot different ways to assess the needs of clients, including testing and refining them over time.
• Recommend suitable interventions to meet the needs of clients, which may not be limited to Yayasan MENDAKI’s programmes or national programmes, but all other solutions, such as enlisting the help of volunteers.
• Think outside the box when partnering with the client in problem-solving to meet his/her needs.
• Connect clients to resources and facilitate them in tapping on these resources.
• Advocate for clients at both the individual and macro level, based on ground sensing of the service delivery gaps through our engagements.

Stakeholder Management - Develop good working relationships with local stakeholders under his/her jurisdiction. This includes working with the M3 partners of MUIS and MESRA as well as government and social service agencies in the neighbourhood under his/her jurisdiction.

• Maintain a repository of resources available to meet clients’ needs.
• Develop an effective and efficient process to collaborate with stakeholders.

Administrative - Work with the team in the smooth running of satellite centre operations.

• Collate satellite centre activity data, including activities run in the vicinity or M3@Town, to provide progress updates to management
• Monitor the use and maintenance of satellite centre space and equipment;
• Collaborate with internal departments and partners for utilisation of satellite centre or partner’s premises

In achieving the above, the Care Advisor will work with the team under the direct and close guidance of the Team Lead and with the support of the relevant support departments.

RESPONSIBILITY

· Verify invoices, payment requests and reimbursement claims

· Process the payment of invoices and reimbursement claims in accordance to internal procedures and in compliance with accounting/tax regulations

· Ensure accuracy in data entry and AP processing meeting the month-end closing schedule

· Handle enquires from vendors

· Sort incoming mails and download invoices from e-portal

· Perform outlet monthly sales agreement audit

· Process Intercompany recharges

· Perform vendor statement reconciliations

· Liaise with other departments for document supports, etc

· Any other duties/projects/tasks assigned to the Employee from time to time

Requirements:

• Min. a Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent
• At least 2 years of relevant working experience in AR/AP/full-sets accounts
• Knowledge of financial reporting standards, tax regulations and industry legislation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Meticulous and possess good analytical skills
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
