Roles & Responsibilities
As a Centre Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our Active Ageing Centres, ensuring the delivery of quality programs and services for seniors. Your key responsibilities include:
Operational Management:
- Ensure smooth daily operations of the centre.
- Develop and implement programs that promote active ageing, physical wellness, and social engagement.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of programs and services.
Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead and manage a team of staff and volunteers.
- Provide mentorship and training to team members.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain relationships with seniors, their families, community partners, and stakeholders.
- Coordinate with external agencies and organizations for joint initiatives.
Administrative & Financial Oversight:
- Manage budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure financial accountability.
- Oversee reporting and compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
Community Outreach:
- Identify and address the needs of seniors in the community.
- Promote the centre’s activities to enhance participation and awareness.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Relevant education in gerontology or related field study
- Relevant experience in geriatric services
- Relevant work experience of at least 3 years
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage programs.
- Passion for working with seniors and addressing their needs.
- Knowledge of active ageing principles and practices.
- Proficiency in budgeting and financial management.
- Familiarity with relevant government policies and frameworks is an advantage.
