ROLE/JOB SUMMARY:
Datacenter Solutions Sales Engineer / Manager for Telecom and Datacenter business in Singapore and Malaysia with potential to grow into Regional SEA markets.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
- Develop Delta’s sales engagement with clients in South East Asia for outcomes, consultative and solution selling opportunities.
- Responsible to achieve annual sales target and monthly revenue milestones.
- Generate sales report, strategy plan and maintain CRM sales leads and pipelines
- Execute sales order and work with internal supporting functions to maintain inventory provisions, project delivery and revenue forecasts (end to end).
- Provide sales and technical support for clients: work with internal teams and third-party technology providers for solutions outside Delta,
- Work with local & key account managers within the region and globally to develop value propositions for key stakeholders: executives, operators, finance leaders and IT leaders, and be able to put together compelling proposals for solutions to customers
- Respond to RFQ/RFP/RFT documents, put together solution requirements, design and costing, align service offerings and ultimately be the client’s point of contact for Delta
- Collaborate and coordinate with Delta factories and HQ/Region business stakeholders to ensure alignment in delivery to regional/global clients
- Develop industry best practices for solution deployment into data center client accounts, working with the regional professional services/delivery team.
- Manage existing and new account planning and strategy, to bring in Delta hardware and software content and grow hardware and software revenue in the region. Provides relationship management and sales consulting, support for major account opportunities.
- Develop a broad network of industry’s professional contacts, stay current with latest technologies in the data center space, including detailed understanding of competition and market trends.
- Position Delta value through our hardware and software content: position appropriate Delta products, services, third party technologies as part of a solution that fits the client needs
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
- Highly fluent with emerging data center industry trends and implications on customers: data center design, electrical and mechanical solutions for data centers.
- Understands a segment sales strategy, specifically data center, telcos, manufacturing, utilities and B&FI
- Understanding of Telecoms network communication configurations and concepts
- Ability to communicate with all levels (executive, technical) internally and externally, and manage through long term relationships and influence.
- Drives innovation through a culture of learning, front-line empowerment risk taking and obsessive customer focus.
- Change agent for our customers/clients, sales organization, working through influence, trust and evangelism of new ideas for solution development. Be the champion in bridging the gap between business users, operations and information technology users.
- Strategic business acumen and complex problem-solving skills in a highly matrixed organization.
- Business travel within ASEAN. Occasionally travel within APAC
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science/electrical or mechanical engineering
Job Experiences:
- 3+ years of deep domain expertise with the telecommunications and/or data center industry, designing and deploying hardware and software for data centers.
- 5+ years of technical sales experience with UPS, DC Rectifier, Precision Cooling, CCTV and software technologies like DCIM, or EPMS, or BMS, or edge computing solutions, or analytics software packages.
- 5+ years of consultative engagement with executive and technical teams in developing and translating business use cases to solution requirements and architecture documentation.
- Customer service oriented and strong in business relationship development
- Strong planning, organizing and time management skills
- Good negotiation skills, attention to details, follow up and administration skills
- Technology leadership, self-motivation and drive to work with internal and external (partner, client) stakeholders for client satisfaction.
