Responsibilities:

Supports operations in the areas of process, troubleshooting and process improvements to improve reliability and increase capacity. Develops process improvement proposals for project implementation and execution. Monitors process trends and product quality to ensure product quality conformance. Provide up-to-date process status and liaise with production to ensure operation smooth production. Continuously review performance of material/product and take necessary actions for improvements. The job will involves R&D production, process control, new projects and trouble shooting exercises. Other ad-hoc relating duties as assigned from time to time.

Job Description & Requirements

1. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Products and processes meets quality and regulatory requirements.
• Be familiar with grease production formula and processes, prefer with 5 years’ experience in grease production or related work.
• Have knowledge of automation system in grease production, optimize relevant process parameters and conditions according to the product characteristics and grades and finally achieve goal of automated production.
• Ensure materials and finished products are stored and monitored per requirement.

2. Productivity Improvement.

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least Diploma or above (prefer in Petro-chemical/Chemistry or Chemical Engineering);
• Prefer to have minimum 5 years of related work experience in Grease.
• Good planning, organizing, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work with minimum supervision; self-motivated, willing to handle work stress.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Team up with chemists to lead a team of lab analysts and technician in executing daily laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards and quality system implementation.
2. Develop and validate analytical methods for the testing of chemical compounds, ensuring accuracy, precision, and reliability. Identify and drive initiatives to enhance laboratory operational efficiency and productivity.
3. Manage laboratory inventory and equipment, including consumables/spare-parts inventory, equipment calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance planning, to meet quality and operational requirements consistently, ensuring analytical tools are in proper working condition for accurate testing and analysis.
4. Provide support in new product development processes (R&D), analytical metrology, and quality assurance for all products, offering product expertise, providing technical support for new product developments, and addressing technical emergencies.
5. Collaborate with other departments on continuous improvement projects to achieve business objectives.
6. Perform Quality Control (QC) responsibilities, including conducting quality tests, inspections, and analyses to ensure product integrity and compliance with standards and specifications.
7. Investigate deviations, out-of-specification results, and quality-related issues, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) as necessary.
8. As quality master to understand product quality, to ensure product to fulfill customer’s requirement.

Job Requirements:

1. Master's Degree in Chemistry with 2 – 3 years relevant working experience in QC lab or a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry with 5 – 6 years relevant working experience.
2. Working experience or significant exposure to specialty chemicals or semiconductor wafer fab supplier environments is considered an added advantage.
3. Strong hands-on instrumentation experience such as ICP/MS, GC/MS, UV-Vis, GC/FID/TCD, IC, HPLC, ICP/OES, NIR, and other measurement tools.
4. Excellent written and spoken communication skills in bilingual languages (English and Mandarin) to liaise with English and Mandarin-speaking associates/clients.
5. Hardworking, able to multi-task, and willing to work long hours when necessary
6. Team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a strong sense of ownership with responsibilities to achieve project and business objective

Responsibilities:

• To supervise and support the functions of incoming waste segregation including bulk waste and loose waste as well as weighbridge.
• To constantly monitor improve the department performance. To conduct periodic review of existing work flows and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements and executing the improvement plans.
• To supervise and ensure the effectiveness and smoothness of waste unloading, segregation and distribution.
• Daily and regular inspection of the plant processes and monitor the working area 5S and TPM activities, safety and discipline at works, machineries and equipment conditions.
• Ensure incoming waste streams being checked properly for suitable treatment processes and current safe work procedures are suitable for handling by operation staff.
• As the core coordinator, lead and monitor the communication flow among internal departments on incoming waste discrepancy and revise related SOPs accordingly.

• To work with resale for arrangement of recovered products to minimize the storage.
• To prepare and analyze daily and monthly operation records/reports (e.g., cost, productivity, quality, nonconformance, etc) on plant processing and maintenance. And follow up necessary corrective actions and monitor consistently to relevant department staffs to follow up closely.
• Regular briefing / training to be conducted to department staffs for safety handling of high flammable solvent, MSDS, PPE requirement and risk assessment before operations.
• To activate emergency response team of operation and maintenance staffs and response to any in house spill and fire incident if in case of emergency situation. To liaise with EHS department to ensure fellow dept staff are upkeep with method of handling and emergency equipment usages in terms of spills and fire incident and to conduct regular practice and drill exercises with different scenarios to workers so that they are well familiar in emergency to response in time.
• To ensure all fellow staffs are well trained according to OJT program and ensure they can follow up SOPs and work safely.

Secondary responsibilities

• To undertake any other tasks assigned by the Management from time to time.
• As an ISO committee member, to develop and implement documents for operation procedures, such as SOP, RA and MOC, SWP and participate in auditing the various departments as an Internal Auditor

• The Lead Chemist, PAT (Process Analytical Technology) role provides drug substance and/or drug product PAT (Process Analytical technology) development and testing support for all manufacturing processes manufactured on site including providing technical expertise in the area of PAT to support manufacturing activities on site and transferring of manufacturing activities to other facilities. The Lead Chemist PAT demonstrates advanced skills in developing PAT method and validating methods, implementation strategy and supports investigations involving PAT, as well as providing PAT solutions for process robustness issues and process related investigations for manufacturing processes on site. The Lead Chemist PAT performs all activities in compliance with all regulations, policies, and procedures on site.

Main responsibilities

• Leads the development and implementation of advanced in-line, on-line, and at-line PAT methods for the assessment of chemical and physical product and process parameters. The scope of the contributions includes methods to support development of design spaces on new products, support of technology transfer as well as methods for control either in-process and real-time testing (RTRT) applications including new and established products.
• Utilizes technologies that include but are not limited to spectroscopic techniques, PAT-adapted analytical technology such as online HPLC, online MS, Raman, FTIR Spectroscopy as well as multivariate modelling of process data, as well as further expanding on the PAT tool set to include at line analysis, for e.g., conductivity, pH, refractive index etc.
• Leads and advises others on experimental design and execution, statistical analysis, analytical method development and validation.
• As a subject matter expert in PAT, both theory and practice, provides PAT solutions and technical expertise to support site process robustness issues and process related investigations. Is able to independently problem solve challenging PAT and analytical issues and able to design PAT related experiments with limited guidance to efficiently gain results.
• Has an understanding of the pertinent regulatory guidance applicable to PAT. Lead contributions to regulatory filings and internal scientific as well as internal quality/GMP documents regarding PAT. Act as primary lead of regulatory inspections of PAT installations for the site.
• Supports routine supply manufacture by providing on going PAT technical support to the IPT and proactively monitoring the performance of equipment module(s) or unit operation(s) during manufacturing and cleaning using PAT. Proposes and implements new PAT solutions to support manufacturing, understand shifts and trends and process robustness issues.
• Provides training and coaches/mentors the PTO Engineers/Chemists in PAT related equipment’s.
• Leads collaboration and sharing the best practices with internal/external SMEs (eg CPDC, PCT, ADC, CMSE and other groups within the GSTC network) so as to build PAT and analytical capabilities for PTO.
• Complies with all divisional and site-specific policies, guidelines, and procedures. Making safety adherence as a prerequisite to employment. Demonstrates and promotes safety, health & environment (EHS) leadership behaviors, ensuring that all activities are carried out in accordance with EHS requirements.
• Where applicable, develops and reviews SOPs, gap analysis and Job Aids for PAT within PTO Subsystems in compliance with divisional and corporate policies and guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor, Master or PHD in related technical field, including Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry or Pharmaceutical Sciences
• Minimum 4 years technical experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing industry
• Expert knowledge of core technology/unit operations relevant to active pharmaceutical ingredients, Biotech and/or Non-Sterile drug product manufacturing.
