Overview
Under the National University Healthcare System, the department is setting up the NUHS Institute of Clinical Quality and championing clinical quality and patient-centred care across the Group. You will support the functions of the department in the developing, implementing plans and initiatives to achieve quality and patient safety across the cluster. In carrying out the various duties, you will be required to work very closely including with the senior management, medical professionals, administrators, support staff and related external stakeholders.
The incumbent is to oversee the smooth operations and quality initiatives of the department and, the deputy director has a very important role to keep the office running and ensuring it achieves its objectives.
Job Responsibilities
- Works closely with and assists the HOD to oversee the strategic plans of the office and translate goals into action items.
- Develop and implement strategies for improving patient experience and service quality
- Oversee the strategic framework and keep track of progress of programmes in all the strategic fronts across the cluster.
- Monitor the finances of the office and take charge of all official interactions with external partners, stakeholders, and vendors.
- Manage the performance matrices and BSC commits.
- Responsible for the office communications by helping to curate communications from the office and work closely with the group and institutional communication leads.
- Manage and lead other projects where assigned.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a healthcare related discipline. Master’s degree strongly preferred.
- Minimum 15 years of relevant work experience in related organisations in large scale project coordination work.
- Good organizational development skills and preferably with good knowledge of the public healthcare setting, experience and familiarity is an important and useful attribute
- Relevant communications experience (preferably in healthcare setting) is an advantage.
- Proven people management experience with excellent interpersonal and communications skills, particularly in written communications.
- Ability to think and work strategically.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast changing environment and work under tight timelines.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Excel, MS Powerpoint tools for data analysis, building charts, etc.
- Good numerical sense with analytical skills, meticulous and a strong problem-solver.
