Scope of work:
1. Volunteer Management
The Volunteer Manager develops volunteer management strategies and evaluates existing volunteer management practices. He/she is expected to lead the implementation of NCSS’s Volunteer Management Framework across C3’s various volunteer driven programmes, ensuring that processes are streamlined and strategic at an organisational level.
Tasks
• Develop volunteer management policies and processes including risk mitigation measures and a volunteer continuity plan for sustainability
• Identify new volunteer opportunities and maintain effective collaborations with volunteer partners such as community stakeholders and government agencies.
• Manage volunteer communication channels to communicate opportunities effectively
• Recruit, conduct background checks, train, supervise and evaluate / screen volunteers; propose and plan volunteer training programmes when gaps are identified
• Design and conceptualize engagement and retention strategies and processes
• Maintain database of volunteers, tracking their progress and engagement beyond scheduling and rostering.
• Plan and execute volunteer recognition activities to recognize contributions including forecasting and budgeting
• Develop and implement strategies to promote the skills-based volunteering and establish long-term partnerships with corporates (Corporate Social Responsibility)
• Work closely and coordinate with colleagues to ensure smooth volunteer recruitment and deployment; engage, support and train staff to ensure a volunteer friendly culture.
• Leverage IT solutions to track volunteering hours and create data analytical reports and impact management
2. Other Responsibilities
· Contribute to the strategic direction of Calvary Community Care, including but not limited to, providing perspectives with respect to the potential and sustainability of volunteer management
· Undertake any other duties assigned by the ED
