Job Title: System Safety Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop system safety program plan, hazard analyses and risk assessment documents, safety assessment report and hazard logs based on contracted system safety and project requirements

• Facilitate system safety reviews and assessment with project system safety working groups and to facilitate and seek technical endorsement for safety assessment report with company and customer safety review boards

• Ensure system safety requirements and implementation are complied with company process and contracted requirements for projects and in-house products

• Submit monthly project status report and updates to Project Manager, System Safety Leads and Department Manager

• Support safety related administrative functions

• Lead and participate in Workplace Safety & Health committee and functions

Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in Electronic/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering

• At least 2 years working experience in communication/mechanical/ electrical project environment as system, project, engineering support, safety or maintenance engineer

• Experience and qualified as Safety Officer in Environmental Health & Safety would be advantage

• Good presentation, leadership and communication skills

• Working location is in Jurong East

Team Introduction

The Platform Product Management team is under TikTok Trust and Safety. Their goal is to keep the platform running smoothly and to guarantee user safety. The purpose of Risk and Response is to mitigate and lessen escalation. We collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and improve product capability, features, and tool ability to detect risks at an earlier stage, monitor possible online risks, and respond to any emergency risk trends in a speedier manner.

What you will be doing:

1. Manage the Content Risk Investigation & Intervention Platform end-end product lifecycle, not limited to product planning, business requirement gathering, product design/development, product iteration and launch;

2. Conduct research and deep analysis to discover market demands and trends leading to the innovation and conceptualisation of potential products or features;

3. Develop and review the product roadmap, manage and prioritise user stories in the product backlog;

4. To have an in-depth understanding of different business scenarios and user pain pointers, define potential common business scenarios and precipitate the best solutions, continuously optimise workflow, and improve problem-solving ability and efficiency.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

- Strong understanding of business with interest in risk management, especially content risk management domain;

- Able to relate to users' pain points. Able to dig out potential pain points from user BAU work;

- Has good logic and data and result-driven with strong analytical skills, using data to support decision-making;

- Able to set clear goals amid uncertainty;

- Able to prioritise under a short timeframe with multiple counterparties and stakeholders to achieve the business goal;

- Exceptional communication skills, and strong cross-functional collaboration skills; Able to manage stakeholder's expectations.

- Have a strong ability to work under pressure, have the courage to overcome difficulties, and accept challenges;

- Self-starter with strong learning ability, curiosity, and business acumen to drive a new product to support a new business.

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree and above in relevant fields, Engineering or Computer Science background is a plus;

- At least 4 years of work experience as a Product Manager in Risk Control or Data or Platform Related experience; in high growth in the tech/software/internet industry with demonstrated success in launching new products and features;

- Previous exposure to content risk management or deep thinking in this domain.

Responsibilities:

• Liaise and identify appropriate camera deployment sites with stakeholders (i.e. Town Council)
• Oversee the work of Service Providers in the installation of the cameras and surveillance work
• Analyse and audit video records
• Conduct detailed investigative work for enforcement purposes
• Follow through with all enforcement procedure

• Experience in investigation and enforcement work

Actual remuneration is based on good you are at the job and what other skills you possessed.

Construction background is good to have. Will be taught on the job if you have no experience.

Will be working directly under the 2nd generation boss in his 30s who values efficiency over the need to be just present in office. If you can complete your work effectively and efficiently, flexible work hours and work from home arrangements can be discussed. Such consideration will only be entertained AFTER probation period.
