Corporate Communications

· Develop and manage integrated strategic external and internal corporate communication programs and content that support company business goals by achieving appropriate positioning opportunities for Guardant Health, its products and programs, and supporting its desired image among key internal and external audiences.

· Lead the development and distribution of written and oral communication in order to deliver the company story to a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.

· Drive relationship-building and engagement with media/influencers to generate frequent, positive coverage.

· Become a subject matter expert and passionate storyteller about Guardant Health and its mission.

· Plan the Editorial Calendar and report results of our media engagement.

· Support senior leaders with speaking engagements.

· Handle highly sensitive, confidential corporate communications, initiatives and projects and advise senior management on associated communication strategies and issues. Lead and manage communication strategy and execution during crises.

· Government Affairs internal and external engagement in relevant policy areas

· Drive development and execution of state and federal government affairs strategies designed to support Guardant Health’s core business strategies for current and future divisions.

· Monitor and anticipate state and federal legislative developments affecting Guardant Health and help strategically position the company to effectively engage.

· Build and maintain effective relationships with key country government officials in AMEA (ex-Japan).

· Identify and implement appropriate strategies with third-parties and coalitions to advocate for Guardant Health’s legislative positions

· Represent Guardant Health with key trade associations.

· Manage Guardant Health external consultants in AMEA (ex-Japan).

Qualifications

• Education: Minimum of a Bachelors Degree and 8-10+ years of related experience in pharmaceutical/Biotech or Diagnostic communications.
• Pharma/biopharma or Diagnostic communications experience required.
• Executive presence and comfort in all interactions with employees, senior-level management and critical external stakeholders, (e.g. media, policy officials, advocates)

· Discharge the duties of a Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) in accordance to the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act and the WSH (WSHO) Regulations.

· Develop/implement WSH management system and risk management plans pertaining to the research and general activities in the workplace.

· Develop/implement programmes to steer WSH culture, habits and norms of the organisation.

· Develop WSH training programmes and conduct safety trainings.

· Provide advice to Management with respect to changes in the Acts, Regulations, Codes of Practice and Standards, and make recommendations on any aspects of workplace safety & health and environment protection matters.

· Carry out WSH inspections and evaluate WSH non-compliance, unsafe work conditions and practices to identify WSH performance gaps.

· Facilitate the management of risk in the workplace, recommend, implement actions and review effectiveness of measures to improve WSH performance and control risks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Review large project pricing, progress and profitability. Knowledge of Cancer Mutations and Markers is preferred to enable quotation development.

· Support business leaders in ROA for pricing, strategy, market size mapping, investments required for business growth.

· Liaise with US Finance team closely on the revenue recognition, actual vs budget performance and US GAAP standards. Experience and extensive knowledge of ASC-606 & US-GAAP is must.

· Review Distributor and strategic partnership contracts to ensure terms are favourable to Guardant

· Prepare operational reports using Tableau and Macros. Hand on experience in Data Management and Analytics is a must.

· Consolidate regional P&Ls from Japan, Rest Of Asia, China & BioPharma Business into AMEA P&L.

· Track and report business performance metrics with the senior management and key stakeholders.

· Lead Long Range Plan, Annual Budget, Rolling forecast (LE1 – LE3) for AMEA. Liaise with regional finance and business leaders to finalize the submission.

· Identify and discuss risks and opportunities with business leaders for Quarterly rolling forecast for corporate submission.

· Evaluate pricing bundle and bulk discounts and its impact to annual revenue.

Qualifications

· 10-15 years’ experience in FP&A or Accounting firms, preferably in healthcare industries.
