About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and resourceful Business Development Director to drive client acquisition and business growth in the construction and real estate sectors. The ideal candidate will have a strong network across industries such as construction, real estate development, semi-government organizations, healthcare enterprises, and private projects. This role emphasizes stakeholder engagement, resource development, and bringing in high-value clients and partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Acquisition & Partnership Development Identify and onboard high-value clients and partners from construction, real estate, and related industries.
Leverage existing networks with government officials, retired or retiring officers, and senior executives from semi-government and healthcare enterprises to generate business opportunities.
Cultivate relationships with influential individuals leading private projects and drive collaborations.
- Resource Development & Utilization Facilitate the introduction of key resources and stakeholders to the company, enhancing project pipelines and capabilities.
Bring in clients or partners with access to capital, resources, or market opportunities to contribute to organizational growth.
- Strategic Business Expansion Drive the development and implementation of strategies to expand the company’s footprint in construction and real estate.
Collaborate with semi-government agencies and healthcare institutions to explore public-private partnerships.
- Management Trainee (MT) EngagementMentor and support Management Trainees, ensuring their integration into key projects and initiatives.
Develop a structured leadership pipeline to support long-term organizational growth.
- Market Insights & Competitive AnalysisStay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging opportunities in construction and real estate.
Provide strategic recommendations based on market insights to guide decision-making and planning.
- Cross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with internal teams to align business development efforts with operational capabilities.
Ensure smooth execution of client-related projects and maintain strong post-acquisition relationships.
Requirements
- Experience:Minimum 10 years in business development, client acquisition, or a related role within construction, real estate, or government sectors.
Proven success in bringing in high-value clients and partnerships.
- Skills:Strong relationship-building skills with senior executives, government officials, and influential stakeholders.
Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.
Strategic thinking with a focus on results-driven execution.
- Education:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Real Estate, or a related field.
