ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure that food handling and hygiene standards are following SFA standards and those laid down by the Executive Chef.
• Work closely and cooperate with other chefs/colleagues to achieve maximum customer satisfaction.
• Assist all upper-level Chefs in food production and ensure hygiene and safety standards are upheld in the kitchen and to ensure the restaurant is always kept clean..
• Ensure that standard recipes are always followed.
• Check that the proper quantity, quality, and, expiry date of received goods are by the company’s guidelines.
• To constantly check the section fridges and walk-in chiller for cleanliness, prepped food condition, labeling, stock rotation, and correct placement of raw food items.
• Assist all the upper-level Chefs in making food requisitions.
• Ensure the kitchen is a secure and safe working environment. Report any concerns regarding health, safety, and hygiene to the Sous Chef or Head Chef.
• Comply with the uniform and grooming standards as laid down by the company
• Assists in all kitchens related activities including ordering supplies and inventory control.
• Ensures that customers are served quality food promptly.
• Responsible for proper storage, labeling, and use of all food supplies to prevent unnecessary spoilage and to maintain cost control.
• Establishes and maintains effective employee relations.
• Informs daily Chef de Partie on all relevant information on operational and personal matters
