• To support the School in the lodgement of board-related applications to ROS, CPE, MOE, Charity Council, CorpPass and ZFA
• Assist the Board in reviewing and implementing good corporate governance practices within the School
• Develop and review policies in relation to Governors professional relationships with each other and with the School, ie. Conflict of Interest Policy (COI), and coordinate COI declarations
• Act as the bridge between Management and the Board, drawing on experience and expertise within the School to advise the Board and Board Sub-Committees
• Support the Honorary Secretary in executing Board instructions and implement Board decisions
• Monitor corporate governance developments and assist the Board in tailoring governance practices and the governance framework to meet the Board’s needs and expectations
• Collaborate and develop strong relationships with all members of the School Management Team to identify and recommend prioritization of matters in the agenda for the Board and the Board Sub-Committees
• Partner with the Board Development Sub-committee in designing the board induction and orientation process, as well as ensure the dissemination of all relevant onboarding documents needed throughout the early stages of board service, including Board Member familiarity with the Constitution, Bye Laws, the School’s work and governance practices

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law or related
• Qualified individual and member of the Chartered Secretaries Institute of Singapore (CSIS), especially individual with in-house corporate secretarial experience
• Minimum 6 - 8 years of experience working in a Corporate Governance & Secretariat function. Prior experience working in a non-profit/charity sector or managing a company limited by guarantee is an advantage
• Excellent knowledge of Singapore laws and corporate governance principles, including driving high quality governance standards, via credible and practical experience
• Skills associated with being a Board Secretary - administration, records, minutes etc
• Proven ability to work well with all levels of management, handle confidential and sensitive information, work independently and handle multiple and complex tasks
• Good knowledge of the German language (level B1) would be an advantage
• Excellent communication skills, intercultural and social skills

This position will be based in Singapore to use their specialized knowledge to maintain an efficient procurement system to supply cost effective materials and services to support the company’s operations.

Job Responsibilities

• Support the procurement function and other relevant departments and communicate any supply problems which may impact on business operations. Act as an interface between suppliers and relevant departments on purchasing processes and new projects and activities.

• Maintain system integrity of supplier’s info in the ERP system, such as items suppliers connect, purchasing agreements and supplier basic data like MOQ, order multiple, purchasers responsible and supplier maintenance.

• Conduct business review meetings with key stakeholders to assess risk, review future strategies, and identify potential cost down, new programs and improvement opportunities or mitigate the risk.

• Create and review opportunities on alternative materials and or suppliers to meet the business unit objectives in procurement activities and deliver best values and business savings.

• Collaborating with our technology to understand our company needs as well as work with our existing/new suppliers to determine company strategic alignment.

• Understand the trend of raw material / feedstock related, update the information to commercial team, provide analysis on costs, new and cost savings activities. Develop strong partnership with suppliers.

• Monitor market trends, competitor strategies and market suppliers, provide analysis on costs, new and existing and review cost to achieve savings. Establish r/s with suppliers to leverage the needs in term on tight supply situation as well as to be ahead of the market requirement.

• Contribute and communicate the impact on Procurement activities to new business initiatives and projects. Involve in Global procurement project activities.

• Assess and evaluate supplier’s performance reviews, compiling data relating to supplier performance to enable evaluation.

• To audit supplier supply capability and quality standard when required. Maintain proper documentation in accordance with ISO procedures.

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering / Material Science or other relevant discipline

• At least 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field

• Accountable team worker, proactive, problem solving and analytical abilities.

• Excellent communication skills with all levels of organization and suppliers.

• Strong interpersonal skills to work productively and collaboratively with multi-functional teams to achieve business goals.

• Candidates with good raw material commodity price trend analysis will be at advantage
