[What you will be working on]

As our intern, you will be required to/your deliverables are:

• Deploy data analytics as part of the risk assessment analysis performed during the audit planning and scoping stage.

• Perform data analytics with the use of suitable tools, to assess the adequacy and effectiveness of key controls during audit fieldwork. Deploy data visualisation tools to present analysis derived from data analytics performed during audit fieldwork stage. 

• Execute audit programs to appraise effectiveness of internal controls in managing risks.

• Assist in the preparation of audit reports to present the analysis of audit issues to line management. Work closely with line management to develop action plans to remediate audit issues.

• Support Corporate Audit’s continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data analytical capabilities.

• Assist in consultancy engagements to promote good internal control practices, corporate governance and risk management.

• Enhance the organisation’s corporate governance through value-added audit activities. Take on an advisory role by partnering colleagues from other business units to add value and improve the organisation’s governance, risk management and control processes.

[What we are looking for]

• Penultimate year undergraduates/ students currently pursuing a degree/ diploma in Business / Finance/ Accounting or a related field.

• Proficiency in data analytics tools (e.g., Tableau/Power BI/ACL/Python) will be an advantage.

• Keen attention to details and willingness to learn and hone internal audit and risk controls skillsets.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and enjoys interaction with multiple stakeholders.

[What you will be working on]

As an intern, you will be required to:

• Conduct on-site visits and document reviews to assess an incentive recipient’s compliance with incentives conditions.
• Prepare review reports documenting the assessment and findings. The intern is required to have strong attention to detail and good analytical skills to conduct thorough and accurate compliance assessments.
• Engage with key stakeholders, including the organization being reviewed, EDB account managers, and policy divisions.  The intern is required to have good communication and interpersonal skills to engage the stakeholders effectively.
• Manage multiple projects, demonstrate good problem-solving skills, and a results-oriented approach to deliver quality outcomes.
• Ensuring service delivery in accordance with pre-defined service level agreements, from planning, fieldwork and reporting.

[What you will be working on]

As our Intern, you will be required to/your deliverables are:

• Process payments to suppliers and reimbursement to staff involved in overseas operations.

• Monitoring accounts receivables, fixed assets, and bank accounts at overseas centres.

• Review, assess and provide recommendations for the assigned area within the overseas operations system and business process review project. For example, an Intern may be assigned to review the current process from procurement to payment for EDB overseas leases that fall under FRS116.

Learning outcomes and other experiences available to the intern as part of the internship:

• Gain insights into overseas operations procurement and finance management

• Gain familiarity with SAP Concur and Workday

• Gain experience with system and workflow re-design project and project management skills.
