Requirements

• Degree/post graduate degree in Accounting/ Finance from recognised institutions or equivalent Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential is an advantage
• At least 5 years' work experience in accounting/ finance administration and operations, preferable in a supervisory role
• Advanced computer skills in ABSS Premier (MYOB) and Microsoft applications (especially Excel) is essential

Job scope

• Manage and oversee accounting and finance functions of group companies Supervise, track and evaluate accounting staff who are responsible for daily bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivables, ledgers and payroll etc
• Responsible for end-of-month close, grant reporting, budget preparation and audit preparation etc
• Prepare and submit quarterly GST filing to IRAS
• Process payroll including CPF submission, IR21 clearance and year-end
• IR&A submission to IRASour and record government claims including for maternity, childcare leave, SDF (training) etc
• Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts
• Reconcile all balance sheet and income statement accounts on a monthly/ quarterly basis as instructed by the company
• Monitor and analyse accounting data and produce financial reports or statements
• Liaise and coordinate with external auditors and tax agents to complete annual audits
• Ensure operational compliance with Singapore's laws and standards, and company policies and procedures
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods and principles
• Provide recommendations to company and improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
• Other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the company

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for accounting processes and tasks (i.e. AP & AR process, GL, account reconciliation etc)
• Ensure Bank reconciliation are resolve on a timely basis
• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial statements and resolve discrepancies
• Coordinate with internal and external parties like external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial agents, local tax and government authorities where required
• Support preparation of all tax and regulatory filing, audits, procedures and forms both statutory and internal
• Assist in new processes and system implementation when required

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma/Degree in Accounting/ Economics or a related discipline
• 2-3 years relevant experience within Banking & Finance or Fintech Industry will be a plus
• Strong understanding/ appreciation of excel, accounting softwares, automation tools using API will be preferred
• Apply knowledge of relevant technologies (e.g. RPA) or methodologies (e.g MACRO, VBA) to improve user experience and streamline work processes

Responsibilities

• Prepare and compilation of quarterly GST for Finance Manager’s review
• Assist and prepare financial results
• Handle full spectrum of Accounts Payable and General Ledger functions up to Trial Balance
