The successful candidate will be part of Finance Division, Payrolls Department. He/She will be responsible for Payrolls’ operational matters such as ensuring the completeness, timeliness and accuracy in the processing of payroll, reporting of Central Provident Fund (CPF) to the CPF Board and submission of claims to the various government agencies. He/She will ensure prompt and accurate reporting of personal tax to Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS).He/She will also provide support relating to business processes and system changes to ensure compliance with regulatory, accounting and company’s policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitors and ensures that the Payroll and CPF reporting are complete, accurate and processed on a timely basis.
• Ensures accurate and timely reporting of employees’ personal tax (IR8A or IR21) to IRAS
• Review and ensure the accuracy and completeness of accruals/JVs. Check for omissions/errors in JVs.
• Approval of AR and AP invoices.
• Monitors and ensures the accuracy and timely reporting of claims to the various government authorities.
• Oversees mass upload of functional allowances.
• Handles payroll related queries from internal users, internal and external auditors, as well as government agencies.
• Works closely with Business Technology Finance on business requirements, user stories and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system enhancements.
• Supervision of staff.
• Any other projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy or an equivalent professional qualification recognised by ISCA or ACCA qualifications. Knowledge of SAP FICO or SAP HR/Payrolls systems will be an advantage.

We are looking for a diligent and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. The Junior Accountant will be responsible for managing financial transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations, preparing financial reports, and supporting the overall financial health of the company. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of accounting principles and excellent analytical skills.

Roles & Responsibilities

Statutory Financial Reporting:

• Preparation and submission of statutory financial statements for the group of companies in accordance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

General Ledger Maintenance:

• Ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
• Prepare and post journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.
• Perform reconciliations of accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare financial statements in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).

Financial Reporting & Analysis:

• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Analyse financial information and summarize financial status.
• Prepare and present financial reports to management.
• Support the annual audit process by providing necessary documents and explanations to auditors.

Accounts Receivables:

• Process and manage incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivables’ data.
• Prepare bills, invoices, and bank deposits.
• Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
• Verify discrepancies by and resolve clients’ billing issues.
• Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients.
• Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status.

Any other finance duties assigned by Finance Assistant Manager.

Requirements:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of experience.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.

Skills:

• Excellent communication skills.

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Strong financial analysis and modelling skills.

Knowledge:

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for maintaining accurate costing processes for production and materials.
• Responsible for standard costs for raw materials, packaging, machinery and finished goods and update variance analyses.
• Analyse manufacturing costs, overheads, purchase price and COGS variances.
• Manage cost-related budgets and perform variance analyses.
• Generate periodic reports for management, analyzing factors affecting product prices and profitability.
• Any ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in Accounting or ACCA or relevant accounting qualification.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for preparing and reviewing of investment funds financial statements to ensure disclosures are in accordance with applicable accounting standards and reporting jurisdiction
• Responsible for preparing and reviewing of risk-based capital reports for delivery to the clients on a timely basis
• Work closely with internal/external relevant stakeholders to ensure timeliness and accuracy of financial statements and risk-based capital reporting deliverables
• Demonstrate ability to plan and manage assignments in a dynamic work environment
• Interaction with auditors and/or clients are required from time to time
• Identify operational risk issues, control deficiencies, and recommend risk/control aversion measures
• Engage in continuous knowledge development regarding regulatory updates in accounting standards, best practices and sharing with the relevant stakeholders
• Undertake projects and UAT process relating to process enhancement, implementation of new systems and products, as required

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in finance, accounting and/or related professional accounting qualifications
• Recognized professional qualifications e.g. CA, CPA or ACCA would be advantageous
• Minimum 2 to 3 years of relevant work experience, particularly in financial statements preparation and/or audit experience in an accounting firm
• Familiarity with financial reporting requirements under IFRS and other applicable regulatory provisions
• Knowledge on preparation of Net Asset Valuation for investment funds in fund accounting industry will be an advantage but not a must
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work on multiple assignments to meet tight deadlines
• Ability to work both independently and as a team player
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills are essential
• Proficiency in MS Excel and Word is a must; whilst familiarity with Excel-Macro will be an advantage
