About the role

Reporting to the Regional Credit Manager, this intern will be part of a larger team within the Asia Pacific Finance department, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to minimise company financial risk and assist in enforcing existing policies and procedures. This 6-month full-time internship commences December 2024/January 2025.

What you will be doing

• Ensure monthly Credit Management Reporting is submitted to Regional Management/HQ on timely basis
• Assist the Regional Credit Management team to request and pursue payment on delinquent/Close monitoring accounts via communication with account holder
• Review and update account status according to established guidelines
• Maintains log of payment promises and pertinent account details; schedules follow-up communication with account holder
• Responsible for handling the collection activity for delinquent accounts and enforcing collection policies & procedures
• Follow up with internal customers & external customers to ensure overdue amounts are paid promptly
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies relating to non-payment of invoices
• Prepare and send monthly statements of account & reminder letter to customers/internal customers
• Report and alert any exceptional and problematic customers and apply appropriate actions to minimize bad debt
• Liaise closely with Internal External customers, proactively build and foster strong relationships

Requirements:

• Demonstrate a broad and good knowledge on generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), IFRS and local accounting standard (as required).

Cash Management and Corporate Banking Services (CCS) Department

CCS is at the heart of many large and deep IT transformation programs of the bank. The Internal Auditor assists the Head of Internal Audit Asia Pacific to achieve the goals and objectives of Internal Audit department, including participating in the implementation of annual audit plan as well as any other assigned and delegated duties. He/She executes internal audit engagements in accordance with audit procedures and applicable frameworks on governance, risk management and control.

The Internal Auditor supports the team in providing advice and business insights to the organisation by identifying opportunities and making recommendations for change. Key Tasks / Main Responsibilities

Provide independent and objective assurance

• Execute internal audit engagements in accordance with audit procedures and applicable frameworks on governance, risk management and control
