• The role holder is responsible for developing, driving, and delivering Affluent card product in key markets centrally to support Bank’s affluent growth agenda for WRB globally.
• The role would also be working with country CC teams to drive its transformation towards growth & profitability. This includes ensuring alignment of these strategies with the relevant country level stakeholders and close partnership with the markets on execution, along with associated financial and non-financial targets and reviewing performance against these targets.

• The role holder is directly accountable for delivering Affluent credit card launches across markets. He/she is also the subject matter expert for Credit Cards product management, with accountability of CC performance from both singular vertical standpoint at product level as well as segment-wise in growing Wealth for our affluent base.

JOB SUMMARY

• Responsible for supporting the Global Credit Card Balance Growth strategies within the context of the wider global Credit Cards & Personal Loans (CCPL) strategy. This role will work closely with Group, Region and Country level stakeholders to design & implement balance growth and yield enhancement strategies to optimise financial and non financial results on the Existing to Product (ETP) global credit card portfolio.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy

• The role holder is responsible for leading the development of global Credit Card Portfolio Optimization strategies for Existing to Product (“ETP”) customers within the context of the wider global Credit Cards & Personal Loans (“CCPL”) strategy.

The role holder is accountable for developing, socializing and helping drive implementation of strategies for ETP Credit Card Portfolio returns, and for delivery technologies that satisfy the needs of the business, and are in compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, including:

• Leveraging advanced analytics and collaborating with risk teams to provide thought leadership on risk and pricing frameworks to enable markets to deploy portfolio management strategies that are EVA accretive and within risk appetite.
• Leveraging analytics and risk management teams and collaborating with regional and country teams to track portfolio performance at a granular level and identify opportunities for performance enhancement.
• Drive EVA accretive interest- bearing balance growth by setting portfolio standards and providing life cycle portfolio management tools including but not limited to cash transfers, balance transfers, EMI conversions of high value spends within and outside limits, credit limit increase etc.

Job Purpose

This is a role in SMBC’s Private Wealth Group and it includes supporting the establishment of credit and risk policies and responsibility for private wealth related credit products including structured lending (single stock financing), Lombard lending, mortgage lending and insurance related lending. The role will entail write up of credit proposals , working with the head of credit solutions to establishing the framework for such credit products including Loan-to-value (LTV) and exposure management on various types of collateral and monitoring of the credit exposures. Job Summary

The role holder is responsible, as an individual contributor, as part of the Bank’s Global Credit Insurance Group desk (“GCIG”), for negotiating, structuring, placing and managing private market credit and political risk insurance on CIB credit assets for the Asia region.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy
Continuously work with insurers on both BAU business and initiatives aimed at deepening and broadening market appetite to better match the Bank’s evolving book and general business requirements. Initiatives include:
• Deepening and broadening insurance market appetite for the low RoRWA/high RWA business;
• Deepening and broadening insurance market appetite for Shipping Finance risks, to assist the strategic growth of the business;
• Deepening and broadening insurance market appetite for long tenor Project Finance Renewable risks, to assist the strategic growth of the business, and to do this in a way that increases returns;
• Deepening and broadening insurance market appetite for Commodities business, to enable the bank to provide solutions to requirements of key clients, and to do this in a profitable manner ;
• Developing insurance market to insure NAV financings, ABL and Loan on Loan structures for portfolio and CRE sector risks, and HY financings including mezzanine positions, to enable the bank to diversify its investor base on these structures, and to do this in a profitable manner;
• Team’s remit includes credit insurance origination on both pipeline transactions and portfolio assets (as directed by CPM/Business).

Business
Deal origination and execution for the dedicated coverage region:
• Evaluate and understand risks associated with highly complex structured transactions and structural elements which can mitigate risks or make the deal more attractive to the insurance market;
• Structure insurance cover in the most suitable way to mitigate risks for the bank’s hold position, to enable the bank to underwrite large deals, to make the deal economically attractive, to enable a useful solution to meet client’s requirements, and/or to make the deal more attractive to potential participants including institutional investors and banks;
• Contribute to deal origination and structuring discussions to ensure credit insurance is considered for returns enhancement on all deals;
• Pitch suitable deals to the insurance market and address underwriters’ concerns;
• Assess impact of insurance on deal economics;
• Negotiate premium rates to ensure efficient capital utilisation and optimised returns on deals;
• Negotiate policies, working from approved template, with input from Legal to ensure compliance for capital relief purposes;
• Manage pipeline and current tasks lists to progress multiple live transactions efficiently; and
• Develop insurance market appetite by deepening insurers understanding of structures, sectors and geographies that have traditionally been outside of their core appetite but where the Bank has a strong business requirement to develop additional distributional channels.

• Work closely with deal teams and insurers in case of amendments, waiver requests restructuring of deals or defaults.

External:
Insurers, reinsurers, brokers, insurance desks of other banks, industry bodies, conferences: Apart from deal execution, develop strong relationships with relevant stakeholders, to market SCB in an effective manner, and ensure we can use relevant market intelligence for our benefit

What a Director, Credit Risk Management does at Visa:

This role is a key member of the HR team and reports directly to the Head of HR. The candidate should have proven end-to-end HR experience, ideally in Financial Services industry.

Main responsibilities:

• Work in partnership with stakeholder to deliver professional HR advisories, provide seamless HR support to its business as required and drive the implementation of HR practices and initiatives.
• Be a strategic advisor to the business on talent development matters including the identifying and grooming of hi-potential talent, talent succession, performance management and coaching managers through performance management conversations.
• Identify gaps in the existing processes proactively and drive continuous improvements to HR processes.
• Consult and advise management in the business planning process and provide input on organizational capability and the HR implications of business objectives so as to ensure HR strategies are aligned with business goals.
• HR operational responsibilities including developing HR policies in line with local regulations, enforcing procedures, managing processes and systems as well as ensuring compliance on day-to-day handling of HR matters.
• Manage the entire employee lifecycle including on/off-boarding briefing, compensation and benefits, employee relations, exit management, etc.
• Manage employee relations and provide solutions to enhance staff engagement and company culture
• Responsible for any other duties as assigned.

Legal and Regulatory Responsibilities:

• Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory and internal Compliance requirements, including, but not limited to, the Singapore Compliance manual and Compliance policies and procedures as issued from time to time; Financial Security requirements, including, but not limited to, the prevention of Financial Crime and Fraud including reporting obligations to the Money Laundering Reporting Officer.
• Maintain appropriate knowledge to ensure to be fully qualified to undertake the role. Complete all mandatory training as required to attain and maintain competence

Knowledge & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related discipline.
• At least 12 years of HR Generalist/ Business Partnering of HR Advisory experience.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment, multi-task and deliver within tight deadlines
• Strong knowledge of local employment law and compliance requirements.
• Possess good interpersonal skills, confidence and maturity to interact effectively with stakeholders and all levels of staff
• Expertise in HR operations, policy development, HR communication
• Willing to collaborate, go the extra mile and demonstrate high level of integrity with ability to handle highly confidential information appropriately.
• Highly motivated and resourceful
• Prior experience in supporting the Financial Services firm would be highly advantageous
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications e.g. excel, powerpoint, etc.
