- Plans, Coordinates and evaluates overall nursing care and services.
- Develops, implements, and evaluates nursing procedures, standards, and policies from best practices.
- Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates nursing standards and services.
- Facilitate and promote clinical safety and risk management practices.
- Monitor audits and reviews to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Participates in the development and implementation of a person-centred care delivery model.
- Lead the implementation of best practices and innovation in nursing care delivery.
- Identifies and plans professional development of nurses and care staff in collaboration with their supervisors.
- Create a culture of accountability, team work and positive staff motivation.
- Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth care delivery.
- Drives and manages change processes to improve nursing care and services provided to the residents/clients.
- Acts as a resource person to the nurses, care staff, doctors, allied health colleagues and operations staff.
- Work with relevant departments to address interdepartmental conflicts, troubleshoot problem areas, propose solutions and initiate follow-up action.
- Conducts recruitment and selection of nurses.
- Assists in the implementation of nursing projects and expansion of services.
- Assists the Director, Nursing in identifying new programs for the residents and special clinical projects to meet service needs.
- Monitors/analyzes the clinical quality indicators and changing needs of residents of Business Units i.e.Nursing Home, Day care and home care.
- Represent the organisation in external committees as appointed.
- Undertakes any task assigned by the Director of Nursing.
Job Requirements
- Registered Nurse with Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in healthcare setting.
- Trained in quality improvement methodologies.
